Do not buy the upgraded event Card. Here’s why
The cost of a season is $10. You get three months of content.
The upgraded event card is $10. For a three week event you get three cosmetics and then you have to earn the next five.
If you buy the card you’re making it worth to bungie higher ups to continue pricing them. And then continue to do the same to newer content.
Decision time?
Do you want three crappy cosmetics? And for bungie to continue paywalling it?
Or for them to stop and make good content you already payed for?

If someone wants to buy the Event Card Upgrade for whatever reason -from a random purchase for an aestethic content that he/she likes, to being a hardcore fan who wants to support Bungie in any shape and form- we have no right to judge, discriminate or whatever those persons. I think we should keep this in mind everytime we approach a discussion about MTS.

I have to wonder jobs are paying nowadays to not be able afford 10 bucks. If beggers on the street can make 10 - 50 dollars begging then a person with a salary has no excuse. I don't need someone telling me how to spend my hard earned money emphasis on earned.

Same chit, different season.......

I remember they first introduced SRL with the taken king and charged players $10 for the event’s book That met with an huge backlash until it was given Free to all players after the arrival of the dawning With the rise of iron and now it sounds like Deja Vu all over again. Bungie statement: due to the backlash about charging Player’s for an event card we decided to give it free to all players and we are deeply sorry and here is 100 silver to spend at the cash shop as an token.

Half this community would buy Luke Smith's farts in a jar so long as they put the Destiny logo on the side. We as a community have been calling for the "VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET!!!!" approach since Eververse showed up in D1. And it's still here because a large enough portion of the playerbase has more money than sense and doesn't give a crap if Bungie bleeds this community dry so long as they have cool emotes and spiffy looking cosmetics. Never realizing they are just cows being milked. Eventually Bungie will hit the point of no return where their antics do not even fly with the diehard fans and the game finally starts to die. Just ask Blizzard.

1 Reply10$ is still cheaper than the price of 8--9 eververse items for silver. So you are saving a lot. Also...if its not interesting cosmetics i just wont buy it....and if they are interesting i will buy it...simple as that. People seem to misunderstand that these are eververse items ...same as we have now...but its overall cheaper.
