I been playing this franchise since beta,
Never in 7 years have I had a week like this in Destiny.
Tuesday night I love to play Control cause a lot of people are in the pool doing bounties and weeklies, I tend to check roster for 6 stacks as I try to avoid pre-determined victory matchmaking (ok maybe not all 6 stacks but 9/10 is a healthy figure). Well I went 2 hours of matchmaking, like 2 hours queing into 6 stacks or 6 stack about to mercy games. I have never seen this, it was nigh on feeling like I was intentionally being associates with ONLY matching full teams? Very strange...
I was excited to see Palindrome as one of the Nightfall weapons and have been eagerly awaiting to play GM as it was not until recently that I have the light level to do so (sadly I was out of town for LoS which is horrible timing). I practiced proving grounds with friends for a few hours in GM really learning the mechanics and after about 3-4 failed attempts we really got it down and started pulling 30-35 min GM runs.
Well it is our 30th run, (Technically 32 GM's not counting ones that didn't give loot from my buddies NF node) between all 3 of us we have 11 Palindomes drop and 79 Swarms. I'm unsure, are we misinformed that it's a 50/50 between the guns or are factors that play into the drop rate being withheld? I am resentful to have wasted all that time and a massive amount of materials that dumped to full post master... I kinda need answers, I've spent the last 3 nights grinding out 10 GM's a night...
Weekend starts and I am going into solo trials, after near a dozen resets I get to 6 wins and one of the sweats on the other team gets capped off the bat 2 rounds in a row when they're up 3. Dude just disappears doesn't say he left game, can't see his name but round wont end and when the enemy team all leaves we can't end the round. I sat there for 15 minutes with no resolve. This was on a Confidence card my dudes, like that's REALLY bad. All in all man I make money writing on my freetime, I play Destiny 2 because I know regardless of my historical bad RNG ups and downs I still enjoy it. Yet
Back to back these 3 experiences though? I'm not going to lie but it feels malicious? From my standpoint the first situation is statistically extremely unlikely but still possible. The second less possible if you really do have a 50/50 drop rate? The third either intentional or a bug I've never seen. But if your car gets keyed three times between Tuesday and Friday that's no longer coincidence....
I really wish I had record on for the trials situation. Let me know if any of you have had any of these issues. I would REALLY like some forum manager/bungie reassurance here. I have been a 7 year supporter (on and off player except for Forsaken cause it was the best =P) this is just nothing I've ever experienced yet so I am very caught off-guard. Halp?

1 ReplyTrials bug has existed for a little while. The rest of your “complaints” are non-issues.

I can't comment on the PVP stuff as I ain't played in weeks. But the 50/50 chance gm drop is an interesting one. Although I can sympathise will your bad rng it has to be pointed out that is all it is. A 50/50 chance repeated in an activity that starts from scratch every time is still just that, 50/50. Imagine you flip a coin 10 times in a row, all ten times the odds are 50/50 (ignore the land on its side stupidity). Now if the coin comes down heads 9 times in a row, that has no bearing on the tenth flip of the coin. It is still a 50/50 chance. The odds of it being tails are no different because of the first 9 random events. This is how it works in GM's, they ain't weighted to even the results out, the odds are 50/50, the results are random.
