Maybe this could fall under the Vanguard tab on the director but I would like to see a wave based game mode similar to firefight from Halo: Reach and Halo 3: ODST

I agree, but I want it to be based on the wave emote. Tons of enemies swarming around you and if you don’t mash that D-pad quick enough to acknowledge each and every one of them, they’re gonna think you’re some elitist guardian that just can’t be bothered to say hello. Some folks won’t be nice enough people to make it through all the rounds, but they can always reach out to some Canadiens doing carries.

Warframe has those mission types, I used to play those alot Another idea is utilizing The Infinite Forest and seeing how far deep you can go as a Survival Mission Personally I think if Bungie could pull it off, Replicating Deep Dungeon from FFXIV would be neat, 100 Randomized Floors to climb through with a boss every 10 Floors with increasing rewards based on loot chests that show up But you have Mutators that can buff/Debuff you sometimes and certain items to help you progress -
Always wished that Calus would make a coliseum tournament and you’d face against random champions of the Cabal, the Vex, some freak Hive sects, some rebellious Fallen or even Hybrids or(drum roll please) other Characters like Shaxx. Like four boss fights in a row and then the fifth would be a unique POE type boss.

Yeah a firefight type wave mode would be cool.No mechanics(like Alters of sorrow,Blindwell or Battlegrounds even though I would like more Battlegrounds activities added),No champions just a fun mode where waves and waves of enemies spawn in.It can have Pikes,Intercepters,Hive swords and Scorchcannons spawn in for us to use too.Would also like an updated Prison/Challenge of Elders added to D2 too.

I would love that. 6 friends who would see how far they would go. Maybe the loot improvement increases as the difficulty gets higher and gets more dangerous

Ngl I want a PvE game mode where you spawn in to a safe zone with special and heavy brick spawners like the tribute hall But when you enter the actual room- depending on which race you’re fighting, there’s an infinite spawner of them and depending on their power, they spawn rarer- like for hive, thrall will spawn a lot Acolytes are rarer Then wizards, ogres and shriekers
