DMT change is fine

DMT is the only weapon in the game that grant a stat and damage buff for precision hits. The damage increase doesn’t even require a kill. The RPM change is still higher than aiming down sights. It also has the ability to roll several randomly rolls perks. Here are some mentions: Killing Wind Vorpal Moving Target Outlaw Are players really complaining about an Scout Rifle that overshadows pretty much the majority of the legendary scouts in the game?? Bungie you gotta stop making weapons overpowered from the start. Players are getting too accustomed to unbalance and spoilery.

    This might just be it for Dead Man’s Tale. But boy will it go CRAZY in PVE.

    • It may be fine for PC but the gun was already on life support on console. You can say it's fine, but I'd wager money that you'll see that gun disappear entirely after this change.

      • DMT was already a mediocre gun on console. It was exclusively a broken weapon on PC, and should have been tuned accordingly, not blanket nerfed for all inputs.

        • It's not the nerf itself that bothers me most (although I'm still not happy about it), it's the principle. Another great PvE weapon is getting trashed on because it kills people in PvP and they can't be bothered to play better or use it themselves. Crucible crybabies are once again getting one of my favorite PvE weapons nerfed because of a gamemode that I don't even play. Bungie needs to find a way to appease their PvP players in a way that [i]isn't[/i] detrimental to the rest of the players. If they can't do that, then let PvP take a back seat to the real game.

          • Exotics are supposed to overshadow legendaries ,that's why we can only use 1 at a time,they are supposed to be overpowered Reducing DMT to 130rpm ruins the fast fire cowboy fantasy of the gun, so no it's not ok,altering a weapons identity in a nerf is BS

            • While I can agree that DMT is a very strong weapon, that doesn't mean I have to like the nerfs. I mean, they already nerfed the in-air accuracy so that only top tree Dawnblades can make use of it, now they lowered the fire rate of hip fire shots? LOOK AT HOW THEY MASSACRED MY BOY!

                Maybe the hipfire rpm should go up as you stack the exotic perk, it just makes sense to me.

                • DMT was already dead in PvP on consoles. This is just the final, finishing blow. Now DMT will be exclusively used on PC and still be the strongest primary weapon in the game.

                    I think the rate of fire from the hip should've been reduced to be 140 rpm instead of 130, but I'll wait and see how DMT performs in WQ before I judge anything.

                    • DMT feels like dog poop on console in PVP based on my play-testing yesterday. I could not win a 1V1 with it. Frustrating. I couldn’t hit consistent crits from range when hip firing and was getting 2-3 tapped by the usual suspects(HCs and Pulses)regularly. It needs to fire quicker when aiming down sites before someone with my low skills can get consistent kills with it.

                      • I'm not feeling the changes on console. When I use the DMT, I can't help but wonder why it was nerfed in the first place. On console, most DMT users start the match with it on and end up putting it away for Pulse, LM or Main Ingredient. 😀

                        • It will be very good in PvE. 20% with vorpal 40% more damage to red bars Anti-barrier Exotic primaries are going to be a lot of fun.

                                • It's not fine, if they lowered it to 140 id say sure. Making it fire slower than the most used weapon type in the game basically kills it.

                                  • It's crazy then the only downside of the weapon is randomness, but it's probably one of the most easiest and strongest weapon on mnk. Imagine a 120 rpm hand cannon with 150 rpm, this is DMT and it's not really the only good fing about it, works on any distance on any map, literally the absolute gun

                                        Wtf when it getting nerfed ? Nerf trials of osiris all together and watch half the cry babys dissappear overnight and prob 90 percent of all cheaters aswell will dissappear too. hate nerfs just because pvp

                                        If it’s balanced, there’s little reason to rush and grind the new activity where the loot drops. No one is going to tell their friends: hey come back you have to get this so so weapon. FOMO is not just missing out on content. It’s first and foremost being there when the gun, exotic, or ability are broken. D1 day 1 Vex is the epitome of it. If the gun, exotic or ability are too broken and negatively affect player count stats or weigh too heavily on word of mouth, then it will be balanced faster, if not then it will be nerfed before new content is released, for the next cycle to repeat. That’s a core aspect of this game.
