Was playing control with friends and vs a team of 3 we lost on widows court to them. Was invited to a party after the game and nonstop harassed. A full clan talking about r****** and k****** people close to me. Never have I been so mad. I never redacted to people like this but it was to far. It's unfair to anyone and I know nothing will happen but what was said is unacceptable.

Happen to me in vog join a raid and started mocking me because of my voice

Are kids not being taught "stranger danger" any more?
-
1 ReplyWhy would you invite them to chat? What good do you think seriously would have come from that conversation? As far as I'm concerned, you learned a tough lesson that you needed to learn the hard way.
-
2 RepliesYou shouldn't join party invites from people you don't know. Stranger Danger.
-
Charlie says Don’t talk to strangers.

7 RepliesReport them all. On platform and in game. There are some toxic people out there. Once I faced someone who I had already blocked in a Crucible game and after beating them generously he got his friend to send me hate mail. The same person was comm banned for a different reason, I joined a party with some friends which he was in (he plays with a few people I do) - didn’t recognise the alt account he was using and got a torrent of pretty horrible stuff, mostly telling me to commit suicide (but much more graphic than that). Left the party. Reported but sadly nothing happened, but hopefully none day people like this will see their comeuppance and get banned.

As someone that gets a crap ton of hate mail and party invites from salty players I just learn to ignore that stuff. End of the day people who cry or go to such lows are trash at a game and lost to a player who shits on them. Even if I don't -blam!- on them and they win then still send hate mail or whatever I legit ignore and report them. Got a message from some dude the other day I reported it on xbox. He got communication suspension, he then goes here and messages me directly. And you know what happened next. He got reported and banned on here too.

So you chose to join the party of the enemy team? What did you expect?

2 RepliesWould you go into a windowless van

2 RepliesWhy did you join a party with randoms?? Rofl. Just report and block

I'm sorry that happened, but why did you join a stranger's party in the first place? -

Never join a party after a match. No one is inviting you to congratulate you. They'd usually just message GG. During Warmind Era this behavior was especially rampant in comp and during matches you'd literally get party invites from people on the other team wanting to harass you for a certain tactic or suspected cheating. Never join. The PvP player base isn't friendly. -
I jumped in the pool and got wet….. Bungie you really need to do something about that, why should I get wet?
-
3 RepliesFor sure report them. Some people are falsely bold online where they're "anonymous." Best advice? Never join up again. I ignored 2 invites just today (was using Lorentz Driver 😂😂)
-
Report them to hell and back
-
1 ReplyUnfortunately due to the dumb code of conduct on here we can’t call them out. It’s people like that who dwell in the community without heing commonly noticed. I strongly believe players like that should be banned without hesitation. Toxicity needs to be addressed more than before on this game. People will only learn their lesson once they see how serious it is to lose your account for being toxic or even harassing players.
-
Its really simple actually. If you hit your home button and go over to the party theres an option to leave. What you let hurt you words wise is what you choose to get offended by. You can leave at any point, or just not have joined at all. Still want to report them? Have them type it out in a message. Report that message to the relevant platform enforcers and usually the ban them within a day.

Easy never ever talk to randos…period !

Edited by Spawn Of Apathy: 2/4/2022 8:24:31 PMYeah, this is why I don’t join unexpected party invites from random people. Win or lose. If we chat first with something like “hey wanna fire team up for comp or Trials”, or “you wanna Raid, we need one more” maybe. Though if I was bottom fragging Id suspect it was just bait to get me into a party to harass me. So it depends on some factors. People are just like that. Even if you were to get one group of them banned, there’s plenty more of them still out there. In other words, it’s never going to stop, because there will always be terrible people. Best you can do is try to keep yourself from those situations. Don’t join those parties.

3 RepliesEdited by DadKev: 2/4/2022 3:23:40 PMAs said, why are you joining stranger's parties? Especially the winning team after you lost. Did you expect modest winners with appropriate sentiments and helpful tips? You got what this community generally provides, bullies, a-holes and the party equivalent of tea bagging.

Edited by Kantrelle: 2/4/2022 7:51:01 PMIt's people like that that I wish their IP, System, and account get perma banned from all games including single player ones. Wanna be an -blam!- to people? Get bricked completely. There needs to be consequences for their actions- severe ones so that an example is made to deter future toxicity from others. Itll deter hate mail or any possible forms of it. I personally hate the hate mail I get from pvp matches. I turned off the ability to receive messages but occasionally 1-2 glitch through. If you're so tilted from a game that you gotta send hate mail and or send me a party invite to tilt me back? There's something wrong with you and you don't deserve to play video games period. Sadly, this is a fantasy scenario- people getting perma banned for sending salt to others. We live in a tough world- no amount of kindness or love will change it. Humans are intrinsically selfish, egotistical, and irrational. Toxicity shouldn't be a thing in video games- the escape from reality. Companies have full control on this but they want money, so they literally can care less. I wish those guys nothing but the worst. Sadly, gotta just deal with this stuff, block em, and ignore. Seriously, ignore em- block em- and remember The salty actions of skill-less players are out of your control. They don't know any better cause they usually had horrible parents. They also aren't educated normally. Theyre complete -blam!- hats. Since it is out of your control- ignore it and report them. Chances are they will get com banned since humans are predictable. A person using kvostov and damaged travelers would probably tilt them. Work on stuff in your control. Block, report, and ignore. If you really feel the need..... there are Twitter accounts for gamer hate mail- u can screenshot it and post it there and on some big reddits. Don't name and shame here but elsewhere u def can. U can raise awareness about bad gamers there.

First off, Why on Earth would you Join them? Never Join a Party with People that just Beat you. Because 99.8% of the Time.....it's to talk 💩. -
Report to Sony or Xbox or whoever you play on

Edited by Good7tuff: 2/4/2022 5:14:16 AMHopefully this will be a lesson - don’t accept invites from random people, especially from opposing teams. They get their fix that way. It astonishes me how many worthless pieces of sh*t people play this game, yet here we are. P.S. You did report them, right?
-
1. Report them to Xbox(assuming you're on Xbox since you said party) 2. People are like that but you just gotta ignore it, they got what they wanted from you which is attention.
-
Report them to the platform and to Bungie. Detail it all, block them, move on. Can even change your settings to as private as possible so random people can’t message/invite you. Met nice people back in the day after PvP matches. Nowadays it seems to be always hate and vile so I have it all turned off.
