What do you think about this? Do you think it could be a good idea? A bad idea?
Can’t help but think about the enormous amounts of grinding that we have to do towards it!

If it’s REALLY grindy that could be a problem, but I don’t mind putting a little time investment into making a weapon as long as I know it’s going to be how I want
-
3 RepliesBad idea. Twab says regular players will have weapons with 70% of the power that their pro streamers will have. So as usual the average player will be at a disadvantage. They also said that master worked weapons wouldn’t be important to average players, just pvp pinnacle players. I’m not a fan of crafting games in general. Give me a big gun and tell me what to kill.

1 ReplyThink it’s just another subtle tool to time gate activities Guessing you are going to spend exotic weapon levels of grind to power up your blue engram BB gun all the while deleting your vault along the way Also makes it difficult to determine which new weapons will actually be good. I think a lot of people are gonna be crafting and polishing a turd…..
-
It will probably be like most things Bungie does, it sounds great until you try it out.
-
I’m thinking that crafting will be the heart and soul of witch queen. If so that’s gonna suck

4 RepliesHow can we give an opinion on something we have not tried yet?

2 RepliesSeems to me instead of bungie sunsetting our weapons, they are letting us do it to ourselves instead. If you can craft your favourite weapons with any attachment and perks you want, what's the point of a vault full of old stuff?

Edited by Tri-Dragon47: 2/4/2022 4:58:02 PMI like it. I can give few reasons 1. You can upgrade your weapons like add barrels or mods( also downgrade on others) 2. Element change is perfect (stasis) 3. Look good for auto with headstone perk. 4 useful for buff or fast boosting on stasis hunter or warlocks on PvE fights. I almost forgot. It is possible I can use and change element for fusion rifle to stasis. It can put on first slot like it did stasis weapons like HC, shotgun, sidearm. Look forward to forge new weapons.

It looks cool, but with Bungie anything that is cool will eventually be a bait and switch.
-
It's 50/50 for me. Some of it seems good.........but they tossed in sunset weapons with an overhaul to fill the gaps in the crafting system......instead of making new ones. Can't say I'm surprised. If they can save time they'll do it.

Sounds worse than I had thought possible, honestly. I thought, maybe a usage grind, or maybe another garbage economy, or maybe having to find/unlock the perks/gear. Like... One of those would be bad enough. Bungie said "F it, throw the whole shebang in there and add more RNG on top, make it expensive!" Just seems like a system that will be dabbled with she discarded, either by the players or Bungie themselves, therefore ultimately a massive waste or dev time and effort.

I’m excited to see the options, I feel like it’s going to be underwhelming on launch but a season or two in I bet it will be great. Gonna take alot to get my fatebringer out of my hand though.
-
I bought this game to grind, so I think it’s par for the course.
-
It's bad. I wanted to perfect what I already have. I have many almost godrolls. This sounds like they want me to start all over again. And then there's the question whether the weapons they will ram down our throats are even comparable to what we already have.
-
I think the same for 1 material needed all the raid completions, at least 1 GM and 10 shards... And we will need 1000 materials...
-
5 RepliesHonestly I think it can be a nice alternative to grinding for weapons but I also feel that the crafting is either going to be very limited, the weapons suck or you need an absurd amount of materials or the materials are very expensive or hard to get
-
5 RepliesNot doing this s#/++y y grind. Hard pass on WQ.
-
Edited by Dredgen Truth: 2/4/2022 3:24:23 AMThe huge grind is fine by me so long as it results in us having a guarantee of getting the weapon we're grinding for, and that looks like basically exactly what this is. Plus, you can still get your guns the good old fashioned way. If you get your hands on a god roll not much purpose to craft another of the same gun.

1 ReplyHow much is the tax stamp?
-
I think it will start out in its worst state and by next year it’ll probably be pretty good. That’s Bungie’s wrap. Release the system in its worst state and evolve it over time so that you grind longer. They already know all the tweaks it will need to be great, but this was they can say they are listening when they make it slightly better season over season.

1 ReplyIt does seems that Destiny is going to de-throne Warframe in terms of grinding. And oh boi is Warframe one grindy game.
-
Sounds very similar to weapon crafting in Warframe, with perks being similar to mods but with extra grind
-
Seems to me (apart from obtaining patterns etc) that the grind to level up your weapon is similar to destiny 1's system which unlocked the perks the more you used the weapon. Add in that you can control your perks and I am cautiously optimistic. Seems a bit more engaging than "I like this weapon so I'm gonna pump a load of materials into it to get a +10 stat boost in seconds" the current set up operates with.
