It was a Divinity run for Garden of Salvation
I was having severe anxiety and worrying about making the group angry at me for my mistakes, First encounter specifically almost broke me after several wipes
Other encounters went well with few errors and wipes
But the Fireteam Leader who's a Sherpa was really chill and I'm thankful for him putting up with me being a worrywort
Coming from FFXIV and doing Savage content again recently (Pandaemonium) it was nice experiencing Bungie's take on what "Raids" are to them
My overall goal now is clearing each (Active) D2 Raid at least once right now and Then developing enough muscle memory to farm them

5 Replieswell done it is a stress when you worry what others think. I am the worst jumper in this game (remember the tomb ships, it became legend in my clan). I went thru the dungeon yesterday for the anniversary and its really frustrating until you get a method going and work together instead of moaning at each other. I am a D1 player but still I am not perfect but i will always try and get it right. Wipes are a part and parcel of the game and it spurs you on to get it done. have fun

One of the best parts of this game, do them as much as you can! As long as your listening to your Sherpa you'll be right 👍

1 ReplyYou can’t really fault Destiny’s raids they’re so good to play through, and fun to do blind as not as difficult mechanically as FFXIV. Destiny raids are probably my favourite to do once or twice, but just doesn’t have that replay value for me like FFXIV does. Once know mechanics they become really easy and doesn’t offer reasons to farm it other than guns that don’t really matter.

If you ever mess up once or even twice in a raid, and people start getting mad at you, just know that you aren’t the one at fault. The people who flip out over a couple wipes are just manchildren. Glad you got a clear, though. Always nice to hear about people who are new to raiding see success.

Garden is one of the harder ones so good job man. I only did garden once. Is what a divinity run as well. After competition I said this raid never again lol
-
Haven't done a raid since Crota lol
-
Nice fam, like every community you have your toxic or negative people just continue to do you and improve fam. Hopefully you have more positive experiences!

1 ReplyGood job, ignore the BS… this forum is full of degenerates that get high typing out hate filled comments towards a game they can’t leave alone

I had a great -blam!- yesterday.

Edited by Anorexic Smough: 2/3/2022 5:27:41 PMYou’re telling me your first full raid was something I’ve still never done despite having dozens of raid completions? Nice :)

Hey, you got the crazy one out of the way! If you want a good raid for beginners, make a post for Deep Stone next. Short and sweet raid with good loot.
-
Hell ya! Glad you completed it. We only did one Divinity completion because that raid is so glitchy at the end (took 11 hours straight). Anyway, that's awesome to hear my guy, keep it up!

Death GhidorahWell that is weird... - old
Congrats. -
It's always a great feeling clearing your first raid 😁

I've only completed 2 raids. They were a lot of fun. My trouble with Raids is that I only use one character and one sub class. I'm a solo player (with very little free time these days) who does campaign content or I play Rumble and Control. My Arc Strider isn't much use to raid teams and the weapon requirements on LFG are a barrier. I hope Bungie bring back the menagerie. That was cool and suited players like me really well. Especially how you could target the weapons you would be rewarded with.

1 ReplyThat was mighty patient of your group to teach you a raid with a divinity run included. Most groups require a decent amount of clears and for very good reasons. Divinity can easily add another hour to any average run depending on skill of the group. You don't need muscle memory, as you put it; you just need adaptability. Every raid group runs them differently, and has different strategies. While mechanics remain the same, it's up to you on how flexible you can be.

Congratulations.sometimes folk can be particularly rude. Glad it was a positive experience for you!!!!

Is your second raid trying to convince people that was some sort of accomplishment.

Man up -blam!- lol

7 RepliesCongratulations!
Just a heads up, this info will not get you laid. No matter how many times you raid or go flawless. Hope your intentions were pure.
Congrats! I remember the feeling of my first, it was Crota's in D1 and it was a good feeling. Man those were the days!! Hopefully my fireteam will get back together in witch queen.

4 RepliesI think the key for any new person experiencing raids for the first time, find a group to do the encounters legit. People by now have methods of cheesing encounters.

They get easier after à Divinity run.
