"Mercy's don't grant stats to either side" The reason I'm suggesting this is to prevent KDA padding/farming in crucible. If stacks want to have fun, that's their prerogative. I'm not going to say friends shouldn't be able to have fun with each other. I have noticed however that farm groups are becoming more of a common thing on lfg. To preserve the fun that six friends can have in crucible and to mitigate some farming of KDAs I suggest mercy grant no stats at the termination of a match.
For those asking why go so far, "Your stats don't matter on a mercy, why do you care about the other teams?", it isn't about my experience anymore. KDA padding can negatively interfere with the MM system and team balancing that's already in place. (Not a very good one currently if I say so my self).
In control, destiny picks a group of random players (The criteria of which is unknown). However, we do know how it sorts the players post match up. As Bungie stated in this weekly article: https://www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/50209. The gist is that the game will try to give better players less skilled players and the rest to the other team. This in combination with KDA padding can royally screw up mm games where team balancing is done. When you have someone who performs poorly with a 1.8 KDA with two 0.2 KDA teammates it makes the game an automatic crap shoot that will likely result in a mercy. As such, I do believe KDA padding to have a negative effect on MM.
Well, that's the end of my suggestion and explanation as to why. On an off note, I sometimes wonder how weapon meta's effect KDA's in terms of inflation.
You all can dislike what I suggested, after all you "entitled to your own opinion". But if you agree or have a different take on it, and remain respectful to other people, I may have more to say. If you cannot remain civil I will simply mute you. Have a wonderful day fellow Guardians.

Edited by FullerHoles: 2/2/2022 6:20:21 PMI kind of agree. But that honestly sounds like it’s more an issue for the clown who is padding their stats. They will suffer more going in not stacked than the let’s say lesser scoring kda player. The lesser scoring players will likely stay within their kda, the padded stat player will be forced to find a stack again to try and pad their kda back up. Also they generally do that to try and get picked up for harder content and they won’t be able to hide their poor performance there. Edit: their team mates will likely drop them and will know not to pick them up future.
