Just think you could have avoided this by buying a 500 dollar console instead of playing on a laptop. You get what you pay for in this case. The new consoles are beating the processing power of some top tier pc's. I will always agree pc is the best of all but for 500 dollars a console that kills most pc or buy a laptop, no brainer to me but maybe I was built different

Destiny is optimized for consoles, pc is playing catch-up. It didn’t used to be like this, but according to a post when bungie made a bunch of changes to the code for beyond light they didn’t have access to their pc testing labs due to covid, which resulted in poor performance on pc despite efforts to fix it. My system that drops below 60fps in some areas now with medium settings had near consistent 120-144fps on high-ultra settings before beyond light.

It still doeant make sense to me given that pc is the best to game on but thank you fir trying to explain it to me. Its probably because I don't pc game

Pc hardware and console hardware are different, so it’s possible for something to be designed to make full use of console hardware, but not make full use of pc hardware. For example sometimes when playing destiny and getting bad fps, I’ll check pc usage and see my gpu only getting 20-50% and cpu only around 60%.

I see what your saying. Basically your pc isnt running the game up to its full potential because there hasn't been enough testing to bring the game up to pc standards?

cuz games are optimized for console , if consoles get games optimized like pc they will never touch 60 fps

You contradicted yourself. You said they are optimized so they get 60 frames but if they get optimized like pc they will never touch 60 frames. I play on console and I at 120 in crucible so i would say 120 exceeds 60 would you not

Every console is the same, which makes optimizing games a lot easier on them. You have a lot of variety when it comes to PC builds, which makes it harder to optimize. If you ran the pc version of the game on a next gen console, the performance would not be very good.
