Non stompee hunters* will always find a reason in their hearts to bag a stompee user. Hunters are the #1 class to get into and out of a fight because of pure speed regardless of their exotic of choice. I don’t see hunters anything more than tricksters that are reliant on their abilities to win and flee fights, with often one trick each player does over and over.
This is a downvote lmao
*edit this is referring to titans and warlocks too

The other classes rely on their abilities a lot more. Despite being 35% of the player population they have the lowest win rate bc a majority of hunters are just new lights or players with 40 hours in pvp.

The most favorable abilities in the game are available to hunters was my biggest frustration point. I will definitely argue the low light situation for every class not just my titans. I’m not kidding when I say I find a titan at the top of the enemy team 1 in every 10 games, warlocks 3 in every 10 games, and hunters 6 in every 10 games. The class distribution in pvp is not even close to what you say (35%?? HUNTERS?!?) dude most of my games are 8 hunters minimum, at least they don’t pile on the same subclass anymore but they are still everywhere

They don't read and build into a thing if a YouTuber hasn't decided to inform them. Don't get me wrong, the dodge roll is very powerful. So is a healing rift, or a 1 shot body empowering rift with arc bodies AI. In the right place cause the Warlock has good movement and makes it relevant places first. A Titan wall properly used can force people to specific places, granting a skilled Titan advantage in the engagement. Both classes can skate, even on console. So if they want, skilled ones can arrive to a location before hunters without stompies. That's heavy, point, the objective, the lane. Top tree dawn's speed, utility, and abilities are still devastating even in the face of a cool down and one less Icarus dash. People pointed out that coming from other shooters, in the character creation screen, Hunters have a nice aesthetic. Their movement is similar to other fps people might be coming from. You have to teach yourself the Warlock Titan movement. That said, if you do, you can be very fast. Most people walk and sprint everywhere or stand around in their initial spawn with long range weaponry.

Lol except top tree dawn has the ability to initiate and disengage far better than any hunter. Titan skating especially coupled with and charge ability or stasis melee is better. Hunter is only as fast with stompees
-
Top dawn has been touched a lot but honestly the class isn’t as much of a bother as it would have been if all warlocks had access to it. I’d throw a fit, but it’s a subclass that’s not annoying to deal with. Abilities hitting through a barricade is frustrating and both things in their kit do it but as a console player they can’t do a lot of dumb stuff I see them do on pc
-
Crossplay means you still have to contend with it either way. Just like PC has to contend with TLW being -blam!- on m/k but cracked on the sticks
-
Edited by blood stealth: 2/2/2022 4:21:05 PMGranted but crossplay on consoles and pc aren’t mixed unless there is at least on pc user in a fireteam. If you play console every player against you is going to be a console player where slightly slower (and I’d argue ‘fairer fights’ happen) movement is key to console but you can’t go insane with the hunter dodges and Icarus dashes by spamming 360’s and avoiding everything And from a console standpoint that’s the only position I’m defending, I have no expertise on the other side of things

Edited by Seiryoku: 2/2/2022 3:23:29 PMHunters are the rogue class. Warlocks mages. And Titans are tanks. So yes, they use guile and wit. They are crafty and deceptive. Not sure what you want.

I want them to suffer knowing other classes commit to fights. This brainless character’s toolkit gives them so many options to do in literally .5 seconds to avoid, get an advantage state, or in some cases abuse literally movement speed to often handle fights. They (specifically stompees) are almost never grounded unless they hold a chaperone, and they all have the same exact builds. Stompees 100 percent promotes the hand cannon shotgun combo with tier 10 intellect, recovery, and mobility we have seen for so long. I’ve never seen hunter as a rogue except for top and bottom night stalker because the other subclasses offer a different identity to the class, like every subclass in this game they are a completely different identity for a class Is stompees the problem? Nope. You win there buddy. I just despise the class’ toolkit compared to others. It’s a cowardice class with a lot of privilege. I loved the life for a single year and it never gave me opportunities to enjoy taking down multiple guardians in strings so I picked up titan. We get a stupid slide and I had to invent my own type of titan skating just to keep my speed up.

Thank you for taking the time to respond.

Honestly just helps me think of what pins me when I play the game. The blogs poke at people’s ideas I don’t see it as an attack to someone. So hope no offense was taken

You read my original post, it was meant to elicit a response in people with strong, clearly defined feelings on the matter.

Well you got it pretty fast haha
