So my work has this scheme that whenever people get special recognitions they receive money to spend on a rewards website. Mostly stuff like Starbucks vouchers and cinema tickets, and the only thing I’m ever bothered about are the Xbox vouchers. Upshot is I got £25 free Xbox money, and you guys are gonna help me spend it. I’m open to most things (caveats below), but tell me why your choice is good rather than just trotting out 50 games I’ve never heard of before.
NOTE: I’m happy to spend more money, depending on the game(s).

• 8-bit side-scrollers and other ‘retro-style’ games. Most of the time they somehow feel both uninspired and overzealous with colour and weirdness. I would much rather just play a remastered old game thanks. Undertale was a refreshing exception to this.
• Multiplayer games. My internet is bad and I am a crap shot at the best of times. I also don’t have the time to grind to get decent against tee-blam!-, nor the money to spend on pointless microtrsnsactions.
• Souls-like games. I get that you think they’re amazing, but I don’t have the time to get not terrible at fighting enemies like that. Sorry not sorry.
• Sports games. Ew.
UPDATE:
So I ended up buying OKAMI HD, so thanks for the shout Frostyfox164, along with Ender Lillies, so thanks for that one Aifos! I also bought This Is The Police and MGS 5 cus they look pretty dope and they’re on sale atm.
I added a lot of the other games you guys suggested to my wish list cus they look awesome, so thanks a lot peeps.

ABZU It’s a little-known single player game that is mysterious and deeper than it looks on the surface. Really cool plot. Parts of it feel kinda bleak and hollow, but the ending made me feel real emotion. It’s the kind of game that it’s really worth playing through and exploring everything, getting 100%, especially because it’s relatively an old game and pretty low priced.
