While I agree, it’s not all bad.
Bungie has proven themselves incompetent without Activsion. Having the guidance of Sony could bring us Forsaken tier content, and maybe end the removal of content to “save space”.
Not to mention they’ll be able to pull resources from Sony, which will allow them to spend more on improving the game.
Besides, if crossplay remains someone will find a way to exploit it to get PlayStation exclusives. Hell, what’s exclusive to what is irrelevant considering cross save is a thing.
Whatever the case, we’ll have to wait and see to know for sure.

And the Sony reputation is on the line now. If nothing else, that is cause for optimism of quality

What game are you playing? This game is in the best place it's ever been and is on the brink of a new expansion with a lot of things we've always asked for.... They have also addressed exclusivity. Tell me one time they've made a big change like this good or bad that they haven't communicated beforehand. Responding with d2 launch is a cop out btw, we all know they went the wrong direction.

Edited by Ubisuccle: 2/3/2022 5:06:47 AMThe game is in a good state. Sure. Is it in as good of a state as during Forsaken? Debatable. Armor 2.0 was a boon and there’s a lot of potential with that system. Its far better than the forsaken system. Honestly it was probably the best change to come out of Shadowkeep The seasonal artifacts have been a mixed bag for me. On one hand it affords the player with build options that would never have been possible (breach and clear or particle deconstruction) while on the other hand that artifact largely defines the meta for the season. While yes it allows for under utilized weapons to shine for a time, it also pigeonholes players who don’t enjoy said weapons. Champions… not really the greatest addition to the game in my opinion. For me this has been one of the worst additions that come to mind. Yea it amps the difficulty to a degree, however locking loadouts to conform to whatever mods are on the artifact isn’t it… least not how they did it. I can’t help but feel as if more options should be available or permanent mods should be added to the armor pool for all primary weapon types (functions similar to finders and loaders). I do hope that the Hive Guardians take more of a center seat and somewhat oust the champs. The end goal is to shakeup the gameplay as well as to increase difficulty; and imo more unique enemies akin to hive guardians will fulfill that role perfectly Edit: Also it somewhat feels like there’s a lot to do and nothing to do at the same time. A lot of seasonal content is meh at best and I hope under sony they can make larger seasons; akin to Crota’s end, House of Wolves, or the Forsaken seasonal expansions

This game is not in the best state ever. tons of content removed, hunters are bad in PvE because of seasonal artifacts and balance issues, they keep making the same mistakes in PvP balance, seasonal gameplay loops have been pretty boring. to top it all off, bunige isn't double they aren't triple BUT THEY ARE QUADRUPLE DIPPING IN MONETIZATION. expansions, seasons, f*cking dungeons, and we still have eververser which doesn't even sell finishers for bright dust which mean the game is pay-to-win because of some paid finishers being faster. also they only said exclusives wouldn;t happen for currently announced seasons. we know nothing about future seasons.

Wtf. Best destiny state was forsaken. With a ton of content, a ton of loots, many new supers and abilities, new gamemodes, new ideas, the most and powerfull fun exotics come from year 2, more raids came put this year than other years, on top of dungeons and secret missions. Currently we have 0 new pvp or gambit maps added since like 900 days. (They even managed to remove half of those) Seasons became a weekly gameplay loop of doing the seasonnal activity once, then talk to a pnj and wait for next week. Pvp metas lasts for so long that its not even funny to complain anymore. Only thing we have in the current state if powerfull loadouts (most of those using previous years mods/armors/weapons) But where to us those powerfull loadouts in this current "best state" of the game ? Those insane and original strikes ? Those new pvp gamemode and maps ? Those new endgame activities ?...aka basically none x) This year wasnt as bad as y3 with shadowkeep....but god its definitelt not the best state of the game you cant say that when most of the content and geat reamins in the DCV. Hell, have you tried starting a new light account ? The story is impossible to understand, you have a bazillion objectives to do at the same time in any order, i even saw a guy asking "who is cayde" when he heard him during a nessus strike XD. The game is currently in a weird state where only us "veterans" players can enjoy things as they come. And maybe its cool for you, but it cant be in its best state when the game cant be recommended to your friends. If one day they do a new age of triumph, where they bring back those old campaigns, raids, activities, destinations, maps and loots. Yeah, the game will be in a better state than its ever been. Currently, y2 remains unmatched in terms of quality for ALL of the community and ALL expectations.

1) it’s a long season, everyone’s bored 2) yes I have tried new light, it sucks. Never said it didn’t. 3) Forsaken was built with the help of other studios. Half of the dreaming city is still to this day unused or serves no purpose. 4) They have given us many, many way to farm gear the we actually want. 5) They are able to update the game at a MUCH higher rate, giving us one of the best pvp metas we’ve had in a longgg time as well as fixing broken stuff that used to take months. 6)Trials is actually healthy again 7) We have relevant lost sectors to farm exotics 8) GM loot is actually desirable 9) Metas are changing every season with artifact mods 10) We have a cohesive story that progresses every week (except this recent stretch) 11) We have a ton of armor mods for build crafting 12) We have a transmog system 13) subclasses are becoming more customizable 14) we are getting weapon crafting 15) New enemy types and mechanics (hive guardians, light moths) 16) New weapon type 17) we have a 4th subclass I could keep going You can keep beating the dead horse of “they removed things” but I don’t understand how many times it needs to be explained as to WHY they had to. It’s 100% obvious that it helped them push out more things more often. Would you have rather them released a rushed and broken destiny 3 with a wiped character so that they could start fresh again, or would you rather KEEP your things and re-build on top of what we have.

Maybe they won’t have to make every single system in the game somehow lead to you spending more money.
