Ongoing Network Connection Errors

Hello, I'm looking for some help with my internet connection while playing Destiny 2. I have been having problems ever since I got back into playing Destiny 2 five months ago, and after going through every possible trouble shooting step from the advanced trouble shooting guide, I figured I would post on here to see if anyone could help. I spend most of my time playing on a campus network, which I just tested at 948 mb/s for both download and upload speed, so that should be plenty fast. I have tried purchasing different routers and replaced my modem, with no luck. I believe my problems are related to my moderate NAT type, but I have also tried setting up either port forwarding or UPnP, with no luck. It is also worth mentioning that I only seem to have problems in activities with larger player counts, I can't recall seeing "contacting Destiny 2 servers" while in nightfalls and strikes, but in the tower and during crucible matches I'm guaranteed to get error messages. People I'm playing with also say that my voice cuts out real bad whenever I'm getting error messages. Lastly, I'm on a wired connection, and the error codes I have gotten include bee, plum, beaver, calabrese, weasel and anteater. I hope to get this sorted out so that my account can stop getting restricted, any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

  • I have the same issue as well. since a few months I have these strange connection issues with Destiny 2. whenever I play in a small fireteam it happens rarely but when I am in the tower or in a bigger match I get the "contacting destiny 2 server" pop-up a lot. My wifi is more than capable of running destiny, it has 150 mbps down. and 90-100 mbps upload. Whenever I play destiny and dicord together my discord start to lagg really bad and is shows a high packet loss so nobody can hear me most of the time. I looked at forums and everything some say its the wifi driver, but its up to date and everything. Like Elite mentioned I have done all the steps bungie says for advanced network settings. However this doesnt change a thing. I even reinstalled destiny and discord. I tried using cable network still the same no difference. If anyone has any advice please help us. Thanks!
