Bungie, during it's prime, always talked about kicking -blam!- and taking over the world. Their updates had a sense of genuine fun and they knew the community they were talking to. So my issue isn't with the update itself, rather the corporate soullessness its prose seems to encapsulate.

  • It’s a company, not your bestfriend. It was just an elaborate form of pr that they no longer deemed needed

  •
It’s a company, not your bestfriend.
Implying that companies can't be fun.
It was just an elaborate form of pr that they no longer deemed needed
Eh, that's a bit cynical. Bungie, during 2001-2012 ish, was filled with gamers who loved what they were doing. It was more tight knit and the employees were just as part of the community as we were. Hell, anybody who was around during the reign of Shishka can tell you they didn't really care about PR as much. That guy could be a -blam!-, but in the most hilarious way possible.

  • Let it be known that Shishka is, and always will be, a pegboy
