Honestly, I think this was mostly a response to Microsoft buying Activision.

It was a response to MC acquiring companies left and right, but dont hink it is a direct retaliation
-
Honestly, I think this was mostly a response to Microsoft buying Activision.
someone hasn't done his/her research. This has been in the works for months.
-
This just shows your ignorance in how things work in the world.
-
A $3.6 billion dollar purchase is not an impulse buy. It is possibly they decided to announce the acquisition strategically at this time based on the Activision purchase, but this has been in the works for months at least.
-
A $3.6 billion dollar purchase is not an impulse buy.
It relative. When talking about huge corporations, sometimes it is
-
Agreed. It is difficult to get executive management to approve even 100K for an internal project, let alone a 3.6 billion acquisition. This was a planned purchase, not an overnight response.
-
It has has been in the works for at least 5 months according to 3+ articles out of the dozens I read.
-
You cant just buy a company in 1 month, this deal has been in the works for a long time before the Activison acquisition was even announced
-
You cant just buy a company in 1 month
But the check already cleared
-
You still dont get it lol
-
And you still don’t get jokes
-
The joke makes no sense lmao
-
OIC. Difficulty understanding abstract sarcasm. Mb I should have seen the signs
-
You do know sarcasm is impossible to notice unless its almost stated. A simple statement cant be noticed as sarcasm :/

Edited by RopeAdope: 2/3/2022 7:47:49 AMNot if you’re doing it right Edit: in case the notion of a dude writing a $3,600,000,000 check and stopping by the bank drop box and waiting 7-10 business days to clear so the title to Bungie can be signed over to Sony to have it notarized wasn’t obviously ridiculous enuf, that was a sarcastic joke We good now?

Technically you can buy a company in month if all parties are in agreement, and paperwork is processed fast enough. Microsoft started their bid for Activision only in December as per news and they bought it in 18 January 2022. It is harder to buy a company that is not desperate (unlike Activison) for acquision for one reason or another.
-
00f, I dunno how to tell you this but the ABK acquisition is still in the works and won’t be finalized til 2023 at the earliest
-
00f, I dunno how to tell you this but the ABK acquisition is still in the works and won’t be finalized til 2023 at the earliest
There is a difference something being done deal so there is announcement since its confirmed, and still being in the works (meaning there is no agreement, the seller isn't convinced yet)
-
Ok. So what are you disputing then?
-
what are you talking about :D, I told you above what i is?
-
Do you really believe Business acquisitions function the same as eBay? You know there is govt oversight, right? The amount and agreement between the 2 companies is just the beginning. Which is why it’s going to take til 2023 before they can realistically do anything as it pertains to ownership
-
Again, you are talking about finalizing the deal. I am talking about the deal that is made between the 2 parties that is solid enough to announce. And you had no problem with that response in your previous reply since you said OK what are you disputing. How did you suddently changed it was not OK anymore? It seems to be that you are just trolling for the sake of it.
-
It’s not a done deal. What are you talking about?
-
OH are you an insider? or do you like to bet if it happens or not? I am game
-
FTC, SEC, IRS, etc. You really have no clue,do you? “If the paperwork is processed fast enough” lmfao Ffs, I’m arguing with a 12yo that conflates their allowance with corporate acquisitions. I’m out ✌🏻
