They'd have to do that for a lot more than Lumina. Every former 150 HC still has the stats of a 150, but the ROF of a 140. While they do feel more consistent, it was still an overall nerf to an archetype that had almost nothing on 140s (or should have, but got addressed later).
Lumina
Thorn
Hawkmoon
Waking Vigil
There's another weapon I'm thinking of, but I can't remember the name. I think it was basically the new Spare Rations.
Four actual examples, we'll not focus on the fifth, though Hawkmoon is all over the place. If they buff the range, they'd have to take from the handling and reload to be more in line with 140s. Lumina I think needs to become viable to solo players, I think it's stupid how worthless it is if there's no one around. All it's really good for is it's synergy with Harmony and Assembler Boots.
Thorn if one video I watched years ago is still accurate, will get 20 range and 30 stability IF they finally release the catalyst. Though I think that would be broken. I was there in D1, I don't want another Thorn meta.
Hawkmoon has the stats of a 150, the impact of a 180, the damage, recoil, and ROF of a 140, and the ammo of a 120 or bad 140. Then add in Opening Shot or Rangefinder with the catalyst and it becomes THE stat king among HCs.
This post is long enough, I trust the readers are familiar with the weapons/ rolls.

Edited by WormChi: 2/1/2022 7:30:45 PMI completely disagree. Lumina is an exotic. It should be brought in line. Also Hawkmoon has always been a 140.

Edited by ParrotTom: 2/1/2022 7:01:15 PMI know it's always been a 140, but as I said, it's stats are all over the place which is why I'm counting it here.

Edited by WormChi: 2/1/2022 7:31:06 PMIt’s stats are stacked not all over the place. I know what you said - what you said is wrong. Also like how you completely ignore the topic at hands

Clearly you only read a part of the post, otherwise you would have noticed what I said about Lumina and former 150s. As for Hawkmoon, by all means, explain how I'm wrong? It has the same exact impact as a 180, but the damage, ROF, and recoil of a 140. On paper, it's supposed to be weaker than every other HC w/o PC Shot. Compared to every other 180 HC except Last Word (yes, TLW is a 180 in the database, even got more reserves when they got an ammo buff in S12), it has less ammo. It's handling, stability, range, and reload are all in line compared to most 150s I've seen. Then there's the catalyst and range perks that bring it past 140s and pre-nerf 120s with a really good roll. So what exactly do I have wrong here on either one? I gave an opinion on Lumina, saying I think it'd be better for it to become more viable for solo players (you're better off with Thorn otherwise) and gave nothing but facts on Hawkmoon. The only thing I could possibly be wrong about on HM would be classifying it as a former 150 simply because of it's stats which by the way, take away PC Shot and it would have almost nothing going for it.

Edited by WormChi: 2/1/2022 10:29:05 PMTLDR - calm down dude. Turns out you’re not the end all be all of all things Destiny sandbox. Know when you’re wrong and step down.
muted
Doesn’t give any facts or reasoning, just a “You’re wrong” and a mute. SMH snowflake. -
How about you read the whole thread before you make asinine comments? I don’t have time nor patience for stubborn stupid people.
muted
Yeah but specifically the problem with Lumina is that it is suffering in the range department. 29 metres is less than all of the weapons you’ve mentioned in your post.
-
I think Bungie's logic behind the short range at this point might be the bonus damage. Not saying it's a good reason, but how far does the 10 second buff extend the 3 tap range to? Then there's the fact you're also buffing and healing a teammate. I'm not against a range buff for former 150s, but I'd rather have it get a rework that makes it viable for solo players.
-
Ok but if the logic is short range for a 10 second damage buff and healing for teammates then how come ace of spades has a similar damage buff but no timer and 33 metres of effective range? Lumina is worse off than any other former 150 when you compare them to hc’s that have always been 140’s.

Every former 150 is in the same boat without a god roll like Opening Shot and Rangefinder on Waking Vigil. This is Bungie we're talking about, nothing is going to make sense for very long if at all.
-
Not really dude. You can literally get an avarage rolled dire promise and go above 30 with ease. Xur literally sold one; I think that’s about as acquireable as it gets.

Dire promise? It's a beast
