Ugh, not a fan of this bidding war.
Apparently Bungie will still be semi-independant and able to release games on all consoles. The reason Sony acquired them was for their experience with live service models.

Sony is also probably going to make films and TV shows, when it’s Sony it’s more than the game developer they’re buying -

Sony bought a singular company that (currently) makes one game, for $3.6B. Microsoft bought Bethesda, acquiring quite a few more studios & titles for $7.5B, then followed up by buying Activision/Blizzard, baggage and all, in an [b]all cash[/b] deal for $68.7B. This is a decidedly one-sided affair.
