Bungie remains independent and in full control of the Destiny franchise, meaning any exclusives made will be made from Bungie, not because Sony said so. The sellout just means that Bungie is avaliable to work on projects adjacent with other companys tied to Sony (i believe).

Bungie doesn't exactly have a good track record in keeping their word.
-
Until Lightfall. Their wording was very particular. That part unsettles me. Since I play on Xbox, honestly makes me wonder if I should bother putting my time and money into this game for another year just to have it yoinked by Sony to an exclusive.

I mean, not as if they’re going to come out and tell 80% of the community their F’d now are they? When did it become a thing to blindly trust what multi billion dollar corps are telling you when their only and main goal is to profit off of you? I’ve been around long enough to see multiple corps make claims only to backtrack later or outright go against their own claims with no F’s given. Yeah I’m old as. Only simpletons and the gullible would blindly believe & accept what two hugely deep pocketed corporations tell them when both entities are seeking profit. Seems a lot are either outright idiots or are in heavily denial mode as their fragile intellects can’t handle the thought of this going sideways.

1 ReplyEdited by Seraph12000: 2/1/2022 2:52:42 PMThe Key phrase is: "The Witch Queen will not have any platform exclusive content". Noone has said Jack -blam!- about what's gonna happen with future Seasons and Expansions.
-
4 RepliesAnd bungie never lies does it? Lol
-
Most people are carefully pessimistic on this. Bungie has lied before.

Sometimes it’s worth focusing less on what is being said and focusing more on what is actually NOT being said … I guess we will find out eventually. Till then, let us enjoy WQ and what it has to offer. Peace!

1 ReplyPSN may not get exclusive content up front but they'll certainly get priority.
-
Imagine being dumb enough to believe 2 different lying mega corporations.
-
6 RepliesPlayStation players should still get something extra, as a reward for playing on the superior gaming platform 👍🏾
-
These are the forums. If we have an opportunity to panic or complain, then we shall.
-
2 RepliesMaybe bungie will be able to afford to make some new crucible maps now
-
Don't mind me, just grabbing the link to this post so I can have a good laugh in a year or so.
-
Ah yes because we should totally 100% believe corpo speak smh

For now.....

1 ReplyI could see PS exclusive cosmetics like ornaments, ships, sparrows, ghosts, etc, but I would bet that there won't be any exclusive playable content like actual gear/weapons, strikes, maps, etc. and if they do this it would most likely be timed exclusives this wouldn't be a big deal imo.
-
Well… exclusive content will still probably happen… just when and in what form.
-
And I have 14 quadrillion dollars in my bank and 72 flying cars
-
I understood it is only for Witch queen. There are no promises for after witch queen.
-
1 ReplyBungie also said the increase in eververse itemization was to pay for special mission content like whisper and outbreak
-
Edited by o0DELTA FORCE0o: 2/1/2022 10:21:12 AMI don't buy that it will remain multi-platform for long. I hope I am wrong but I don't trust these false promises that are made to quell the masses. I guess I'll just have to go play it on my PS5 if push came to shove but I never trust what these companies say.
-
Wrong ,I can’t play witch queen on PS3
-
2 RepliesYes you would be absolutely correct for everything retaining to Destiny 2. Once the Destiny 2 saga concludes in 2024-5 I expect to see Sony push Bungie to make Destiny 3 which will be exclusive to PlayStation. Hope I’m wrong but you don’t pay 3.6 billion for nothing.
-
I am of the mindset “let’s wait and see”, but I am also not naive enough to forget the past.
-
5 RepliesIt’s pretend. Things will change 1-2 years from now.

Q. Will Destiny 2: The Witch Queen include any platform exclusives? No. The Witch Queen will not contain any platform exclusives. Every player should have an amazing Destiny experience, no matter where you choose to play sounds like only the witch queen.
