People worried about exclusives rather then the overall game quality.

The games quality being different depending on the platform you play it on is still not a good thing.
-
It is acceptable if every platform sees improvement. Take pvp for example. Been a while since new maps came out. So if Sony puts their foot down and makes them roll out four with one being exclusive, that’s a net gain for everyone. In reality, the exclusive nature of content on a cross platform system means the players on that platform have much fewer people to play with. So it’s not all sunshine for them.
-
It's a net gain yes, but getting them at a later date, typically a year later, is not an improvement for everyone right away. Getting more content than another is disparity in quality.
-
How is getting three maps you wouldn’t of gotten without Sony not an immediate net gain? You’re only waiting on the one that is exclusive. It’s a disparity in the amount of content. The Quality improvement came with three maps you would of never gotten otherwise.

While true it doesn't change that with content comes quality, even if it sucks. And to be missing out on missions, weapons, and maps because of the platform you play on is going to reduce the excitement for ALL people that play the game. It's a stupid solution to a problem they themselves create. People will pay for pvp maps, it's something games have done for years. I'll pay an extra 5-10$ per season/expansion to get the quality I expect.
-
You can’t have quality it it sucks. That’s the opposite of quality. You’re referring to quantity. Quantity doesn’t guarantee quality. Having more crap doesn’t make it less crappy. Probably would reduce excitement, depending on what/how much is exclusive. Hence why it’s likely a non issue. Who said the problem exists in the first place? I wouldn’t get worked up over a ‘what if’ scenario. Especially considering Destiny is heavily slanted Xbox. That’s likely the true saving grace in this deal.
-
I was just responding to your comment, not necessarily making a big deal out of it so long as nothing happens. Exclusive stuff is -blam!- for multiplatform
-
It is a bad idea that’s why I’m not too sure about it happening. They won’t make their money back like that. Destiny’s best year was 300 million. So that’s like eleven years of good sales.
-
Lol I know, right? I mean you got to look at the Sony studio track records. There’s always a possibility they can work magic and fix this studio, albeit we probably won’t see much change till something like D3 comes along though, but perhaps there will be better management this way

I don’t think Bungie plans on making a whole new game until after Dark and Light, if at all. The whole point behind the dcv was to cut their workload down so they could make the seasonal and dlcs solo when they lost the support studios from Act. Upgrading the engine would require readjusting all existing content, so post Dark and Light is the only real window for a new engine/game. They can turn it around anytime really. Most of the changes, aside from the subclasses, can be rolled anytime. Same way they roll those nerfs out as they please. It’s just someone making them out the time and effort into it.

Who knows what their future will bring as a Sony studio.
-
True. All depends on what big picture Sony has planned.
