Have to purchase DLC 4 times???

I play on PC and my son plays on PS5. We each have purchased the same DLC on each platform. Since our account has a license for the DLC and each platform has the DLC installed, why would we not be able to log into the other device and play? Why would we have to purchase the DLC again on each other device? I should be able to log into the other platform and play since it was already purchased for the platform and it was already purchased for my account. What's with having to buy it 4 times to switch platforms?

    You have the License on PC.(Your Account) Your Son has it on PS5.(his Account) Licenses Don't Transfer. So the License on your PC account doesn't exist on your PS5 Account. Vice versa. So if you're going to play on multiple Accounts..... better cough up that dough. Bungie doesn't control Licenses. That's PS/Xbox/PC. They control them.
