2 RepliesWithout the big boys: Same old strikes, Reskins, Vaulted content and destinations, Sunset pinnacles that haven't been replaced, Gambit reduced to one mode, PvP a joke because it's free. Overpriced expansions and seasons for what you're getting, Delays. Luckily for Bungie (and don't they just know it) there just hasn't been a replacement game out there to remove a big chunk of the already dwindling player base. Sony getting involved is a step in the right direction for Destiny and it's community.

4 RepliesHopefully they discontinue for pc. Get that pc hack -blam!- off this ip.
-
10 RepliesBungie: Good news guys! We're independent from Activision and we were able to convince Sony to stop with the console exclusive content! Sony: Did somebody say "Sony console exclusive content?"
-
Yeahhhhh 🙂
-
2 RepliesTake the blinkers off and actually read the information. It'll save you clogging up the forum with nonsense.

1 ReplyEdited by BarretOblivion: 2/1/2022 5:18:50 AMRead Bungie's FAQ. Read Sony's interview. Then take down this dumb post. If anything I could see a Sony/Destiny collaboration event advertising a Sony IP. At worst it would be 2 years before exclusive content comes up again if any.

Good thing I got this ps5 yesterday then
-
Looks looks somone can't read
-
This year no. Next expansion, possible. The final shape, very likely.

48 RepliesFrom the shared vision article posted alongside the announcement of Sony's acquisition:
FAQ: Q. As a Destiny 2 player, does Bungie becoming part of PlayStation have any immediate impact on how I play and experience Destiny 2? No. Our commitment to Destiny 2 as a multi-platform game with full Cross Play remains unchanged. We want you to play The Witch Queen on February 22, 2022, on the platform of YOUR choice. Q. Will the Destiny 2 experience on non-PlayStation platforms be impacted by Bungie becoming part of PlayStation? No. We want to maintain the same great experience you already have on your platform of choice. Q. Will any announced seasons, events, packs, or expansions be changed or impacted by Bungie becoming part of PlayStation? No. Bungie retains full creative independence for our games and our community. Our plans for the Light and Dark Saga are unchanged, all the way through The Final Shape in 2024. Q. Will Destiny 2: The Witch Queen include any platform exclusives? No. The Witch Queen will not contain any platform exclusives. Every player should have an amazing Destiny experience, no matter where you choose to play Q. Will cross platform features, like Cross Save, Cross Play, the Destiny 2 Companion App, or third-party apps like Destiny Item Ma-blam!- (DIM) be changed or removed? No. Bungie’s commitment to cross-platform play and social features remains unchanged. We believe games are best shared with friends, wherever they choose to play, and will continue to invest in new features and platforms. Q. Bungie has future games in development, will they now become PlayStation exclusives? No. We want the worlds we are creating to extend to anywhere people play games. We will continue to be self-published, creatively independent, and we will continue to drive one, unified Bungie community. Q. I play Destiny on Steam, Xbox, or Stadia – will my platform still be supported? Yes.
No exclusives.

Yeah and it's not like microsoft will not do the same in a year or two.Bungie/sony may or may not but microsoft will once the current contracts are fulfilled.
-
7 RepliesIf you don’t like it don’t play
-
4 Replies“Notorious” 😂😂😂🤦 The “notorious” exclusive battle was in retaliation against Microsoft as they were monopolizing the industry during the 360 days. Nothing else.
-
2 RepliesTime to use a PS5 like a real man then 👍🏾
-
How about you read the news posts instead of only reading the titles.
-
This is the best thing that could happen to destiny dude. Like seriously you’ve got to be dumb to think otherwise. Even if they started doing exclusives the money they’ve brought to bungie could be used for everything from dedicated servers instead of p2p bullshit as well as bigger and better expansions.
-
2 RepliesIf they ruin it for you, there are hundreds of games that you can play. This is not the end of the world
-
4 RepliesCan you say Destiny movies? Think about it. All the grimoire and lore being translated to the big screen with Sony owing the exclusive rights. That’s what $3.6B bought. The next Star Wars franchise.
-
Oh well, it was never enough to make me want to buy a playstation to play...
-
https://www.pcgamer.com/so-if-its-not-about-exclusivity-why-exactly-did-sony-buy-bungie/
-
Incredibly unlikely
-
You'll be okay crybaby
-
Cross play is already a thing and if you don't like we don't care. I'm just happy that Sony finally did this.
-
10 Repliesso instead of assuming, let's see what they actually do - rather than rely on speculation
-
4 Repliesevne in the tweet on destinythegame the 3rd point more or less says 'no our games will be available ot everyone no exclusives ever' and in my eyes since bungie has said that their staying independent while doing d2 and snow just provides money and man power I see this a W in a big way
-
I’d gladly go back to playing only Xbox players, if they block crossplay they’ll be doing me a favor
