Since theres no housing system in the game, i guess that we can just imagine. Where does your guardian live? Is on the last city? Io? My guardian lives in a isolated part of the Earth, just with his ghost as company. He loves to sit, relax and have a cup of tea when he can, watching the ruined landscape from the window of his makeshift house.
Why would a guardian need a home.. they don't sleep.. they don't eat.. they don't -blam!-.. so what's the point.. they are basically good zombies

Its not because that you don't need that you can't do it. -
Edited by Poozle6402: 1/28/2022 3:05:54 PMActually, it is a necessity! Guardians do sleep and eat, they can starve to death- the lore from Getaway Artist explicitly states this. The Drifter in his lore book was resurrected over and over after starving repeatedly (A Man With No Name). Crow lost a lot of weight when he was stranded in space ( A Tangled Web.) It’s actually a horrible loop to be in because they die and then come back just as hungry, struggle along, and die again. Crow when under Spider’s ownership was forced to sleep by loud ether pipes that kept him awake ( A Tangled Web.) He now fights with traumatic nightmares that let him only sleep for an hour or two each night (This came from one of the 20 pieces from the Halloween event so I can’t remember the title.) If he didn’t need to sleep, he wouldn’t put himself through the same torture every night- I believe there’s something about Cayde sleeping In A Man They Called Cayde, but I can’t remember for certain. (Yeah exos eat and sleep too) Sloane had an apartment (Crown-Splitter). Hunter dens are a thing. (Tommy’s Matchbook lore.) It’s perfectly rational to assume they need somewhere to live. Everybody can be creative with their answers, it’s fun to do! Edit: TLDR; it’s a necessity to eat and sleep for a guardian, several examples of them starving and struggling with dreams/nightmares and suffering from sleep deprivation

Didn't drifters ghost offer him to keep him full? But drifter refused?
-
I originally assumed that bc Drifter is, y’know, the Drifter, but Getaway Artist’s lore speaks of guardians (with ghosts) who had to steal food from the lightless to keep from starving. I think it’s complicated, maybe they can temporarily relieve it but the cycle still continues afterwards and they eventually die.

Wow, I didn't know that. There were some people (very rude) saying the opposite. -
Edited by Poozle6402: 1/28/2022 10:13:35 PMYeaaaahhh people get up in arms about any sort of imagination being used in a video game or other media because they associate it with teens/adults that have… fantasies and write about it. It’s okay to give your guardian a personality or a background and try to make them seem a little unique. It’s your character. They don’t have much of one in game, and that should give you some freedom! Bungie actually seems to like this kind of thing (whether laziness on their part or not, idk lol) and supports it. Don’t worry about it. People obviously liked your question, things that get attention will have those that are there just to be “that guy” They’re entitled to their opinion, but the cringe culture is getting old :/
