Petition for a 4v4 clash mode.

Good idea

Bad idea

If you weren’t already aware, most of not all destiny 2 crucible maps were designed with 4v4 in mind, and no doubt so was the matchmaking and p2p/server bungie has set up for crucible. That was before a lot of things, including movement and ttk, were buffed. So, I’m petitioning for a 4v4 clash mode to be introduced, at least temporarily, much like how trials labs exist. I’m curious as to how much better, or possibly worse, crucible would perform if it returned to 4v4. I believe 4v4 would result in better map flow, connection between players, spawns, and could possibly even improve matchmaking as the system wouldn’t have to fill as many spaces on a team.

 • The only debate (which happened on/off in the beginning of D2) remaining, which will rear itself eventually, is the consistency and realistic aspect of having a Fireteam of 3 vs 4 ready (from a team perspective). As well as comparing how many modes in D2 support 3 players in a Fireteam. (Think Strikes, Exotic Missions, some existing Crucible modes, Dungeons, etc) Sure Freelance solves some things regardless in Crucible. But it seems like doing a 3v3 would also enable previous Crucible modes from D1 to be brought over. Like Skirmish or Salvage, for example. That and (maybe[?]) it would allow some testing on other "modes" that would otherwise be "chaotic" in a 6v6 concept. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
