4v4 will be nothing but team shooting. Year 1 had this even though weapon sandbox was different. Not a good idea. It’ll feel like skirmish with respawns but with 1 more person on the team.

What’s wrong with people working as a team? It will exist no matter how many people are in a game. I’ve even seen people complaining about it in 6v6.
-
It’s quick play. I want to do my own thing while in a team too. But other teams will be holding hands and I won’t be able to push. It would feel like mini trials. In my opinion I don’t think it’s a good idea for quick play. You might as well add Skirmish back if you want something similar like 4v4 even though it was 3v3 back in the day.

There is no QuickPlay. Bungie removed this queue 6 months ago when gamers wanted to choose their match type. They were leaving a match as soon as it began. Matchmaking was not quick anymore. Bungie’s solution to improve matchmaking time was crossplay. QuickPlay was a short-lived queue that provided random Control and Clash matches through one queue. It is long gone and never coming back. Control has replaced QuickPlay. Read the description before you click on the queue circle.

Edited by Wintermute 2050: 1/28/2022 12:25:53 AMIt does matter. There is no QuickPlay. QuickPlay was a router queue that sent match requests to the Control and Clash queues. It is no longer available. You are living in the past.

Edited by Anorexic Smough: 1/26/2022 6:08:44 AMOkay but isn’t that already a thing that happens now in 6v6? Is 4 people working as a team worse than 6 in any way? Why does teamwork, a non-issue, outweigh the other positives of the change? And of course, given I petitioned this as a temporary and optional gamemode to see how it would play out, why are you against it?

Edited by StarkSniperZ: 1/26/2022 6:13:49 AMThe point is 6v6 Clash is fine as it is. 4v4 will result to more teams holding hands. Slower engagement times. The more people there are the more spread out people will be. Which is how it should be for quick play. That’s my point. That’s it. A separate mode for 4v4 is fine I guess but not needed in my opinion, but 6v6 clash should never change.

Edited by Anorexic Smough: 1/26/2022 10:12:36 AMI think you need to look past teamshooting, which again isn’t even an issue and wouldn’t be as prevalent as it was in year 1. Your obsession with it is blinding you from the benefits of 4v4.

Agreed. We do not have the slower movement or high TTK as we had in Y1. Teamshot would not be an issue. As a side note, Halo handles this perfectly with 4v4. Sometimes your kill is a teamshot and other times it is your own kill. Bungie now has the capability to deliver the same type of experience with 4v4.
