Destiny 2: 30th Anniversary Pack Add-on, not allowed to be installed on my device?

My buddy bought me the 30th Anniversary Pack so we could run Grasp of Avarice together, only to find out that I couldn't install it as window deems it "You cannot install this on to your device". He's on xbox and I'm on windows. I got the code and was allowed to redeem it nice and easy. I own it, but can't install it. Both my friend and I have searched for work-arounds about how to install it (i.e. disable and re-enable firewall protection, clearing Microsoft data cache, reinstalling the game completely, etc.) but nothing seems to work. I've submitted the complaint straight to Bungie but it must've been a bot because it responded with the exact message the help website gives. (why would I be contacting the solution was there all along?) If anyone knows anything about this, please contact me. Dis: revoltbolt#8793

Did he buy you the XBox version? Destiny 2 is not a Play Anywhere title - if he bought you an XBox version and you're playing the Microsoft PC version of Destiny 2, you'd be unable to download that to a PC.

    • Hello. Thanks for your report. You may want to double-check that the code was for the Microsoft Store version of Destiny 2 and not for Xbox.
