Can we stop pretending PvP wasn’t amazing when SBMM was in the casual rotation? Great matches, great trades, and great GAMEPLAY.
Then we got rid of it because goofy YouTubers and meta-crutching neckbeards (less than 5% of the population) were complaining because they were forced to play with people of their skill?Come on now
Come. On. Now.
Bungie should put SBMM back in the casual rotation like it was when PvP was THRIVING and let the meta-crutching no lives fight amongst themselves like how it should have always been
New players getting absolutely demolished by metawielding stacks of no lives is not sustainable

Sorry, you're not entitled to ruin the game for everyone just so you can have easier matches. If you want to do better, then I suggest you get better.

sbmm is the death of all casual modes, simple

Nice job on the poll. You played yourself.
goofy YouTubers and meta-crutching neckbeards
🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍 Yeah, bring back some even competition and close matches that are fun to play! It's been too long!

1 ReplyThat poll isn’t going the way you thought is it?

6 RepliesPlay Comp. Come back when you get stomped 10 games in a row and everything is stuttering beyond playability. Tell me again you want pure SB in quick play. Also, Lobby Balancing is a form of sbmm.

1 ReplyFirstly sbmm has no place in casual modes Secondly it only helps the very worst players… players that usually start posts like this with… “I hardly pvp but” Thirdly the dedicated pvp players get terrible connections and que times Fourthly if they made exclusive emblems for the highest ranked players I’d be all for sbmm…

1 ReplyEdited by enrageddd: 1/11/2022 5:10:48 AMPvp was not thriving lmfao Also, “sbmm” and “casual rotation” in the same sentence makes no sense whatsoever

4th time isnt the charm

3 RepliesEdited by Wraith: 1/9/2022 6:56:08 PMNo thanks. Sbmm literally took 20-30 mins just to find a match for the top players in the game… this along with matchmaking players half way across the world… which caused a lot of lag. Here’s what logging on would look like. Log on start the q make breakfast eat sit back down wait 5 more mins get in a match get shot and shoot through every wall, ask where people are from to see why there’s so much lag, find out no one in your lobby is from the same country as you, try and q again wait another 30 mins just to get lagged out 2 minutes into the next match then turn of system and play a different game that prioritizes a good connections you can actually find a match and not get kicked after 2 mins.

They could probably run both systems in the game. For people above a certain skill level it could change to the current matchmake system.

Edited by IAGNRG: 1/11/2022 6:44:42 AMWho cares, just play the game.

Ah yes SBMM Where I hate to wait 5-8 minutes in orbit just to get in to a match that will likely represent 3 different continents at a minimum with connections so bad it makes me wonder if they are trying to cheese crota with their Ethernet cord. All in the name of fairness Except the matches were rarely fair because bungie is horrible at accurately factoring skill AND network advantage can be a big thing in destiny. Only actual upside to bungies SBMM is playing the same players day after day and week after week leads to some friendships or rivalries

Edited by A_mo528: 1/9/2022 6:53:45 PMI guess part of the problem is that the "no lives" have kind of brought this on themselves through the behavior of a tiny portion of no lives. But you have no idea the lengths this game goes to protect the people that have no idea what SBMM even is, and lie about how successful it was or will be, from being beset upon by the full force of no-lifery. This game needs to stop being bad with the matchmaking but SBMM just isn't the answer. "Amazing" is a bit of a stretch. SBMM would just lead to more falsehoods because its built on a foundation of falsehoods.

1 ReplyI believe there's an announcement due soon for some matchmaking changes. Unfortunately, I bet it's just more CBMM lobby balancing BS - no more than just continued warmed-over CBMM.
