So as we all know, the RNG on getting a nightfall weapon is painfully bad - especially for those players that can’t do higher level nightfalls.
So what if they implemented two repeatable bounty’s that would drop the two weapons in rotation that week. For example at the time of writing this, there would be 1 bounty to get Palindrome and another bounty for The Swarm.
The way the bounty could work would be you’d have to get a total amount of points collectively over nightfalls, so if you did say 4/5 Hero’s, it would add up enough points to fill the bounty and then a master would fill it up straight away. There could also be a separate GM version of the bounties - ensuring you killed all the Champions would guarantee the completion of the bounty (same way as completing a GM now works guaranteeing a weapon) but obviously as you chose the bounty means you get to receive the weapon of your choice.
I do GMs already, I’ve done my conqueror title and guild it every season (yet to get on the grind this season for my 3rd guild though) so this isn’t a idea for myself as I’m happy to grind out GMs for the Mats and Guaranteed weapons. But for the new players, solo players, players with a life outside the game and can’t get to GM level, players that really struggle against high end content, I think it’s almost cruel how hard these weapons are to drop! Adept weapons are guaranteed for GMs - some of them are actually not too challenging either! So why are just standard legendarys more ‘exclusive’ then Adepts? I see 10x more Adept Pali’s in the crucible then I see normal Pali’s.
Destiny is all about the loot and making normal legendary this hard to obtain is kind of ridiculous. People want to get the weapons and then go use them in whatever content they enjoy! Not everyone plays destiny just to GRIND.
