Postmaster doesn’t need any changes. The postmaster isn’t supposed to be used for storage to begin with.

Perhaps you didn't read the post... TL;DR = fine... but I didn't say anything about using the Postmaster for storage.
-
Options 2 and 3 are specifically designed for people using their postmasters as storage.
-
Agree to disagree. You must be one of those players who is constantly going to the tower to swap equipment or something, but people I play with, we carry a large variety of weapons and we go through multiple runs of multiple activities before returning to the tower. It isn't being used for storage, it is catching items you temporarily didn't have space to carry. And if you've never been in a situation where you've had that many rewards build up for you, oh well.
-
I keep DIM open on my second monitor. Between runs, I’ll transfer anything I can from the postmaster to my character and delete anything that’s useless to me while flying in to the activity. Never had an issue with inventory management.
-
The fact that you are using a 3rd party tool to manage it suggests that something in-game is lacking.
-
I get what you’re saying. You want to use your postmaster as storage and you want the game to manage your inventory for you. Sounds like laziness on your part.
-
That's why I wouldn't rely on you for an intelligent conversation. Attributing laziness to it is utter nonsense. Move along, troll.

Edited by SteveOfSteves: 1/6/2022 7:36:02 PMIt is laziness. You don’t want to put forth the effort to ensure you don’t lose valuable materials. If you can’t properly manage your inventory and end up losing materials, you’ll be redirected to this page: https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049199931-Destiny-2-Inventory-Management-Postmaster-Vault-and-Character-Inventory This section will be highlighted for you:
Postmaster Once a Social Space has been unlocked, players will gain access to the Postmaster. If an item is not collected before returning to orbit or proceeding to an alternate destination, it will be sent to the Postmaster. Items held by the Postmaster may be lost if not manually retrieved and stored in the Vault. Items are discarded from the Postmaster when accruing over 20 "Lost Items" or deleting a Character. Bungie does not replace in-game items that are lost, or discarded. (See Deleted Item and Character Policy)
and you will be reminded by the community to not use your postmaster as storage. And everyone else will carry on with their day. Just because you disagree with my response, that doesn’t mean I’m trolling. As far as we know, Bungie has no plans on changing the way the postmaster works, so you will just have to learn how to adapt. Remember, you’re the one having issues with the postmaster. I’m doing just fine with my personal inventory management.

I’m simply using the resources at my disposal to avoid losing valuable materials in my postmaster. So far, it has served me well and I’ve managed to keep a total of 40 Ascendant Shards and 200 Ascendant Prisms on my account for as long as I can remember. I’ve never lost anything due to the postmaster being full. If you truly value the materials you have stockpiled, you’d consider doing the same.

You are missing the point entirely, but that's ok. You do you.
