I’m hoping it’s not Savathun.
Because I’m hoping we end up getting are asses kick at the end of this year and come light fall it’s a redemption story where we rise up and finally destroy savathun in the light fall expansion.
But I doubt that’ll happen and instead we will get some generic cookie cutter story like normal.
Travel to this destination. Take out the henchmen and then take out savathun. Basically forsaken, Shadowkeep, and Beyond light all over again just in a different area.

I'm hoping you're right. I'm hoping in Witch Queen, Savathun proves herself to be far more dangerous than we ever expected and brings defeat for us at the end of the expansion. That way when Light Fall comes around, my theory is that we realize we cannot rely solely on the Light to defeat her as she wields it as well. We get a new darkness subclass and use it to defeat her once and for all.

Yeah to me this makes the most sense. There’s been way too much build up for her to be done with in this story

Destiny has a really bad habit of making these ultra powerful enemies feel like cannon fodder. They want to present these enemies as are biggest challenges ever yet we kill them after a handful of missions and a raid. I’m not gonna get my hopes up but man I hope we are right lol.

You know, i know not to get my hopes up, especially before the release of a new DLC, but what Bungie is going to do, is come out with another extremely well done, badass trailer, that's going to suck me in and get me excited and im going to get my hopes up once again, because the trailer itself will be better than the entire campaign. Hope we're wrong and Witch Queen blows us away.
