Since the ability cooldown changes every lobby is 90% hunters with stompees and shotguns. We all knew mobility exotics would take over after the ability netfs, but had no idea it would be this bad. Stompees need to be looked at asap as they are the biggest problem in pvp and will single handily kill the mode since everyone will move over and crutch on the free win OP exotic. Edit: for every hunter on this thread defending their crutch listen to the latest podcast Firing Range. This is a podcast that the Bungie PvP sandbox team guests stars on and listens to themselves. I’m just reiterating what the no crutch hunter community wants. Listen to Coolguy starting at 1:17:23 and it goes in for 3 minutes: https://youtu.be/9Ohx7gCdpuo

  • You know they aren’t going to touch their favorite class.

  • Hunter is underpowered as it is, stompees aren’t game breaking. Just increase your mobility, it’s not like hunter has ever been able to shoulder charge, Pop a shield in the middle of a gunfight, heal with a little turret ect. I really don’t understand why people -blam!- about hunters so much lol complain about them being “OP” then complain about them being underpowered in PvE. 😂 bass akwards

You seem to forget what the Hunter has in their arsenal. The Hunter has the concept of the Stasis structure already implement in their subclasses aka ability synergy. They aren’t OP in PVE but they need some love there however Stompees alone proves how broken they can be with little to no effort required especially in PVP. Plus if Hunters were so underpowered like you state they are, the ratio of classes would say differently but the ratio is much higher with the Hunter class versus the other 2.

  • I’ve played all 3 classes since destiny 1 alpha. So I’m looking at it from an unbiased perspective which seems most people on here cannot or just will not do because of some embarrassing or frustrating moments against a hunter. Hunter stasis super isn’t even as useful as the warlocks roaming stasis super in pvp if it doesn’t get a kill I mean most people miss or don’t use it right lol. They are literally suspended in the air for a pretty killable time frame. The dodge charge rate has been nerfed as well as gamblers dodge breaking auto tracking which was one of the few things that gave hunter an edge. Every super the hunter has doesn’t give it any extra health or recovery initially, you can kill a hunter out of their supers with ease and rarely survives a battle against another super lol shatterdive was understably something to -blam!- about but then again… Titans had one shot kill shoulder charge for ages and bungie still didn’t completely nerf that crutch plus a shield they can pop mod gunfight. Warlocks have handheld supers which still post patch are still pretty effective.. plus stasis turrets, healing/empowering rift and arc soul. Point is ability wise hunter just isn’t on par with the other two classes. All they can do is rely on speed and guns and a dodge that they can get killed through. The argument that hunters are overpowered/stompees ect. Isn’t viable tbh.

I see your perspective but I don’t agree. If Hunter were so bad as you say, players wouldn’t flock to them as easily in PVP. All the power that Titan and Warlocks have doesn’t even compare to how the game is played overall which benefits the Hunter mostly especially in PVP. PvP is designed to be fast paced and everything that is considered slow paced is stacked against the Warlocks and Titans. Shoulder charge requires you to be in motion which kills off your ability to use your weapons or grenades during the time frame. Charging a grenade for the Warlock is the same thing due to the cancel animation. These 2 components slow the pace of the classes down. Both the Warlock and Titan have to be STATIONERY and the animation is ridiculously slow for usage. Even after using it, you can be forced out of your class ability, beaten or not even bothered if the opponent is smart enough. Hunter literally have an exotic that distorts your radar and screen for a couple of seconds which can be a game winner in itself. The shadestep mechanic is a panic get out of jail free card which can’t be said for the Warlock nor Titan in terms of class ability. Hunters have BTNS grant mobility, resilience, recovery and haste for one melee smoke grenade and can get up to 2 with an exotic. Players aren’t even running Wormhusk + BTNS for the ultimate tank build. Hunters have the variety that Titans and Warlocks would dream of when it comes to synergy for their subclasses while Hunters feels the same about health, overshields and power/damage enhancements. It is literally a balancing issues designed around a poor system that seems to forced classes to play their specific role. Hopefully 3.0 subclasses destroys this barrier that seems to be the problem overall and allows each player to dictate their favorite class through personal preference versus which one fits their ideal playstyle for certain content or situations. Even the Movement concept or component is lacking overall. It needs to be change to fit the stat measure like the current stat structure of Mobility Thru Strength. Allow players to stay in Strafe and High Lift for Titan or Burst and Control Glide collectively to fit their movement capability.

  • Oh I never said hunter was bad but there are A LOT of bad hunters. I don’t think any of the classes are bad except for the warlock glide, personally I’ve always hated it. Titan and warlock don’t have to be stationary, if that were the case they wouldn’t have so many powerful roaming supers. Shoulder charge is built for mobility/mobile gameplay in general. Warlocks were allowed to keep blink, top tree dawn blade it’s built for mobility, the only stationary super warlock has is well. If you choose to play stationary with classes that have so much power then that’s on you. Both warlock and titan have the most powerful melee abilities for a reason. So we’ll just leave it at a “to each it’s own” you hate hunters for whatever reason like other players who ignore fact and leave it at that lol

I didn’t say I hated Hunters. I simply identified the issue with them which is more a balancing flaw that is designed around the role of the class. This is why there is a class “main” mentality that has been a plague of the game. I can use all three classes at any given time and I can easily identify the flaws and strengths of all three. The fact that you only brought up the only things that signify what most players are using to determine an essence in skill says everything about your knowledge of the subclasses in the game. Don’t speak about what is classify as weak or strong if you cannot address the entire concept of the classes. As far as the stationery comment when discussing class abilities, it went over your head if you thought for a second I was talking about supers.
