Only way I've found doing this is if you have an overabundance of enhancement prisms and shards. If you masterwork a piece of blue gear up to tier 7 (and dismantle it) you turn the 3 enhancement cores and 1 enhancement prism, into 6 enhancement cores.
-
Spider sells one prism for 400 shards quite ridiculous. They won't do it.
-
Yes! This has been needed for so long. Or just go back to only cores, and remove prisms and shards from the game! We do not need 3 seperate materials to do one thing.
-
Not practical, the currency system we have for these types of materials is not meant to be directly exchangeable by design. Enhancement Cores are meant to be obtainable from all sources, while Enhancement Prisms and Ascendant Shards are only obtainable from certain endgame sources. These resources are not difficult to obtain, but require playing certain types of activities. Having a system to break down these materials would either a) over-inflate the economy with Cores or b) have such a low exchange rate that it would be meaningless to exchange. The best thing to do with your Shards is to use them, that's why the limit was put in place. If you have maximum shards, masterwork an exotic or a favorite legendary armor set.

Bump....i have a stack on golf balls and prisms on me and in post master already

Edited by Monkey: 7/30/2021 9:52:35 AMAlso any chance of deleting a whole stack of Mod components or allowing us to use them for something in the game? lol omg these things are annoying and taking up to much space
-
Yes please!
-
I complain about this every single day. I've been grinding GM recently (loving it to my own surprise) and have prisms and shards overflowing to the extent that I'll have every exotic on my hunter masterworked by like Saturday. Problem? I might have 5 cores. Shout-out to the gentleman in the comments here who pointed out the blue item workaround. Game changer.
-
It’ll be cool if you can sell your mats you dont need for mats you need like a shop or market like in pokemon games
-
Already exists, upgrade a blue armour to MW lvl 8. Then dismantle. Use 3 cores + 1 prism ( to MW ) = 6 cores ( upon dismantle )
-
Cores in to legendary shards, legendary shards in to glimmer, glimmer finally break down in to gunsmith telemetry data. Then one full stack of telemetry data is turning in to the brick, which bricking one inventory slot forever. First Guardian with fully bricked inventory receives world first emblem from Bungie, flowers and some (unknown) discount on Chinese Toster.
-
Title
“NO!! GRIND, GRIND, GRIND!!!” - Bungie Probably.
-
Break shards down into silver!
-
They just need to increase the cap. But then again how will they keep us going back and populate activities. I guess FUN or just enjoying the game isnt enough for them. Making things fun, rewarding and enjoyable is what will keep players going back out.
-
That or enable reverse exchanging
-
Great idea!
-
That would mean we don’t have to grind for cores. No can do - says Bungie.
-
That would be op but I’m here for it twin.
-
It took bungie years to make changes to the tangled shoot vendor. When they did they added crap nobody asked for and forgot to add the few changes people were (such as buy mats in bigger quality than one). The destiny experience is much better for everyone if you manage your expectations. When I say manage I mean discard.
-
I agree, but the real issue is you have to do bounties to get cores. There should be more paths to get cores.
-
Would be nice to burn all these extra prisms into cores, after all I only have 5 stacks.
-
In the meantime, you can put blues up to level eight. It'll cost you three cores, and one prism, then you scrap it and you get six cores back. Until Bungie let us turns prisms into cores, this is what we got.
-
I love that the people who play too much have an overabundance of high tier materials but none of the lower tier stuff while players who don't play often enough for Bungie's liking are drowning in lower tier materials (this is me). I have so many Cores and Legendary Shards that I don't know what to do with because I have very little (or no) Prisms/Ascendant Shards to finish off an armor masterwork. You know something is wrong with the economy when even the players who play way too much are out of the "common" material while swimming in "rare" materials.
-
Or remove the stupid, unnecessary, artificial caps on them and let us carry as much as we want.
-
Yes. Didn’t have a problem before this season, but with all the great weapons and sandbox changes added recently, I’ve masterworked more guns this season than in the whole year before. Now I’m out of cores, but there’s no way to even grind them out that I can find. It’s super annoying.
