Each raid encounter should drop a weapon and an armor piece.
In D1 one drop per encounter was just fine. Weapons had static rolls and you didn’t typically need more than one. Armor had only a few perks that it could roll with and it didn’t take long to get what you wanted.
D2 is a different story especially with random rolls on weapons and the new armor system. It takes a lot of farming to get a decent rolled weapon between RNG and the perk pool that exists. Armor 2.0 is just as bad if not worse. Perhaps you got a high stat roll but it has the wrong stats for your build as well as the wrong affinity. In essence it can take forever to get what need for your build let alone what you need for multiple builds. This season was advertised as play your way.
With 2 drops (weapon and armor) you can achieve several things.
1. It makes the raid a more rewarding activity and gives players extra incentive to do the raid. As true endgame content this should be the most rewarding experience. It could even boost the raiding population in the community.
2. It reduces RNG a little, but is still present enough in the shear combinations of perks and stats that can be rolled to still have a grind. It’s a bad day when at the end of the raid you realize everything you got is worth a few legendary shards and weapon parts.
3. Pinnacle +1 drops were a terrible grind. This was even realized by developers and they increased them to +2. Double drops could function as another way to provide more pinnacle level drops to the game or if it’s not needed then only one drop out the two would be pinnacle. The other item would just drop at player level.
This has been on my mind for awhile. Sorry for the wall and thanks for your time.

4 RepliesRaid gear is useless and the biggest reason why I don't raid. The game is ruined by so many static rolls being available. Why bother raiding when I can get objectively superior weapons like Exotics, Pinnacles, Rituals, and much easier to obtain random rolls whose stat differences are extremely negligible? Bungie needs to desperately reinstate static rolled raid gear. This can easily be done by deleting the Y1 guns, Pinnacles, and Rituals so that raid weapons can regain their status as high end, sought after weaponry. Raid Legendaries and Exotics should be the only static loot in the game.

A weapon and armor drop per encounter would be great. All that would matter is the random roll and the affinity/base perks. If only

It wouldn't be so bad if they can lock down the damn duplicates. 9 chest pieces, 1 gauntlet, 5 fusion rifles, 3 bows, 3 pulse rifles, 3 shotguns from 4 raids... even when we did challenge mode I got 2 fusions from the 2 chests on Warlock and 2 bows from the 2 chests in my Titan. I got 4 Warlock robes during 1 raid Its ridiculous: https://youtu.be/CychAOvqddY

in d1 raid drops had few rolls, here in d2 they have too different rolls, one drop now is not enough

1 ReplyAs I been said they should’ve made the first time get all your powerful rewards then whenever you re run it you only get regular rewards like below your light or non powerful

That would be too many drops honestly. What really needs to happen is there needs to be a better spread of what weapons can drop from what encounters. And not have so many energy weapons lol. I also support being able to run the raid again and get drops at the same level as you'd get out of the chest. That way you could grind what you want.

Love this idea, it would definitely renew my interest

1 ReplyI’m all for this, as long as only one of the two (either armor or weapon, chosen at random) is high power. Otherwise it’s way too much level up potential per raid

1 ReplyUh no?

3 RepliesNaaah I love getting boots from the first encounter nonstop. Feels super rewarding

4 RepliesI don’t know about double drops but maybe more structure from the drops so you don’t get four energy weapons...
