Am I the only one feeling being forced to play with exactly defined weapons, quests, missions, bounties, raids...? As I remember my good old MMO endgame days were about being able to be free of choice what you play, where you play, when you play, where you explore.. doing the stuff in the game that actually makes fun for yourself. And with that, still get rewards, just by playing.
I feel being forced to play the stuff I have to, not the stuff I want to. A certain amount of this is ok, but in destiny 2 there is waaaaaaay too much forced gameplay and you have to repeat it (in most cases) 3 times. Once you are done with that forced gameplay you are also done playing the game, every day.
Do you feel the same way?

8 RepliesIt's annoying when some people say "you are not forced to do anything" using that as an excuse knowing how the game is designed vs D1 to argue post like this for the sake of arguing. D1 did not have anywhere near as many bounties Power engrams were not a thing to level up Vendors were not just used as bounty place holders, you were able to trade with them There wasn't anywhere near as many quests that are deliberately designed to be an over grind The cost to purchase certain items was not overdone like Spider and the Tribute Hall and Tess Bungie wasn't so stingy about offering material especially now knowing they reduced the amount you can acquire this last 2 months Catalysts was not a thing because there was no "need" for them The list goes on, so when some say that there isn't a form of focused play, you would be incorrect.
