No, i dont feel the same way. I use whatever i want.
What it sounds like you're experiencing is the community's '1 way works, so stick to it' mentality that has happened since d1. When the community finds a way that works, they stick to it and dont deviate from it until another way is introduced (by a popular streamer/youtuber) cause of a new weapon and/or patch. In that case, yea, that sucks cause people dont try things out in the game and pretty much let others play the game for them.

The thing is you can use whatever you want, but you're ultimately hurting your team as a result. That's the point being made.

Yep. I was a crappy Crucible teammate when doing the AoS quest. Not a great Gambit teammate when doing Breakneck. Apologies to all who put up with me (I generally suck at Crucible anyhow but can sometimes be adequate in Gambit). Bungle should not put people into such positions.

Not true, when it's like what dradgen said.

Not when there are multiple, effective ways to play.

Most people do play however they want. If im rocking strikes for fun ill use whatever I randomly hover my mouse over on the exotic collections screen. Just because you could do a raid with a random assortment of weapons and armor, doesn't mean you should, but it also doesnt mean you shouldn't. I don't see why its a problem for LFG groups to expect a certain level of consistency, reliability and speed when completing activities. Using the most effective method/loadout occurs in every game known to man, be it card games, board games, playground games or video games. It would be silly to expect people not to use the best stategy. Honestly you could apply this methodology to life in general. Just because you could wash your laundry by hand in the river, doesn't mean you should. No one cries foul when you use a washing machine, its simply effective and easy.

No, most dont. That's why no matter the activity, you see a 'meta' about what gets it done the fastest/easiest. I'm not saying people should just try out things all the time no matter the situation, but that doesnt mean you have to stick to the same things neither. Which is what most do when it comes to things, no matter what. Hence him saying he feels forced to do things a certain way. No, it's silly to think just cause something works that's the only way to do it, which is what a lot in the community do. What's funny about that, as soon as a popular streamer/youtuber says another way to do it, the community follows it and start doing it that way, and pretend the other way exist lol. I've experienced it plenty of times since the beginning of destiny, especially in raids. That's not a genuine comparison, but i get what you saying, i just disagree. You never start the game with everything in the game, so i feel you should use what you have to figure things out. It might not be what is deemed the most effective, but if you know what will get things done, that helps and allows you to do things instead of not trying at all cause you dont have (insert x).
