Make Mods removable!!

Like title, it's absurd that we cannot remove a simple mod and the only option is to place another one on top.

Hey all, The team is aware of this feedback. Specifically, players desire a way to retain mods that have been applied to weapons. One note that we've made sure to highlight is negative feedback surrounding time investment to acquire specific mods, like those tied to Black Armory, and how it isn't a great feeling to lose them when experimenting with other mods. Thanks to all who have posted threads about it! When we have more info, we'll let you know.

    • How about a mod that lets us remove other mods?

          • No, then mod components become less useful. Imagine , you'll only ever need 5 super mods and 3 target adjuster mods. (15, and 9 for 3 characters) every piece of armor would have the necessary mod when you swap to it because you can just remove it from the other one. Delete your crap, or make more meaningful decisions. Components are a currency for a reason, what would be the point if we can use the mods willy nilly once we got a certain amount of them.
deal with it.
• Or do your gunsmith bounties and buy more of the mod you need plus get some enhancement cores out of it.

                  • I thought that was already going to happen come sept. Along with making them unlockable instead of consumable.

                  • Why? The system is getting overhauled in September and is essentially getting that from what we've seen so far. If anything, now is the time to start hoarding everything anyway.

Yes. I can't figure why people are so against it in the comments. Personnaly, i don't especialy like to have to grind 4 differents marks/cloaks/bonds with on each one GrenadeRegen & Recuperation + Heavy ammo finder, and have on each one Hive, Fallen, Taken armaments, and one with a stat mod for casual play. "But you wouldn't need mods components boo-ooh". YOU WOULD. Consider there is a fee for placing & removing a mod, would you bother taking one out everytime you need it on another gun ? No. Your gun collection widens, the mods needed do not, and if you want to swap to try Icarus Grip in PVP on your normally PVE used gun with Major Spec, you probably don't want to lose your Major Spec and your Icarus Grip, and even less having to dismantle the gun for gaining it back. Same thing for armors. You probably want to switch to a new armor, but want to keep the old for fashion reasons or later uses. Why waste enhanced perks & fashion to get back one mod ? Wtf guys since when are we against quality of life updates, and for god sake stop pushing PVP views all around, we don't care what sweatlords think about what is more a PVE issue IMO.

                    • It is absolutely absurd. Isn't everything in Destiny? Really? Think about it. 5 years in. Crucible is supposedly laying a foundation. Campaign is fractured with false starts and more beginings. Took a year to solve better devils and a year to solve armour. Destiny has been under construction it's entirety. D3 had better be next year because this project beta sucks!

                      • LOL, wait until the new mod system comes out when you will be able to add several mods. You're gonna have to think reeaal haarrd about where to equip them. I have tons of mods. Each day I check to see what the Gunsmith has and take a roll of the dice for one from Ada. Plus I get mods from breakdowns and, oh my, even enhancement cores. Actually pretty easy.

                            • They go back to the gunsmith when you add another mod. He’ll let you buy them back at a reasonable price, but he’ll randomly offer the piece you need back.

                            • The reason is that modding is making a choice. Otherwise, you would just buy one mod and swap it to every weapon or piece of armor you use, anytime you want. If you want to invest in an item, mod it, and that new perk permanently belongs to the item, as it should.
