Lol, just as bad as the whiner posts honestly. I love raids but many dont. Bungie is doing well to design for the people who actually play their game but there is still a LARGE part of the community, for a number of reasons (whether I agree with their reasons or not), that don't do raids. Bungie just can't afford to gear the game toward 5% of their player base only, it would be a terrible business decision. They opened D1 with that method and it wasn't working...FOREVER 29.

  • The raid is part of the experience as a whole. It’s like playing RDR2 and just stops playing when Arthur dies. Or Think you’ve seen the whole chapter on infinity war if you watched everything but the last two movies. At first I was one of the people who was all like “whaaa, i’ll Never be able to do the raid”, but then I did it, was tough, but I had fun doing it and the same for the next few raids. I got better as a player and was able to enjoy the content more because I finished that endgame activity which is apart of the game and its lore as a whole, it’s not separate from destiny, it is apart of destiny and everyone should be able to do it. Forcing the max light is one way. Why would players who like the easy way out want to do something that requires effort when they can just do the easy way? Doing the hard thing will build character. Hopefully allow them to enjoy the harder content. The other problem is the toxic ass community that develops soon after the raid is completed. The whole thinking they always knew how to do it and act like they were worlds first or did the whole thing without dying once, whilst being worlds first needs to go. Those people are the reason casuals and also people like me hate doing raids. I don’t have friends, so I need to use lfg to get raid ppl together. But all the posts of ppl saying to be this light or have this weapon or this and that, and being such dicks, not willing to teach new ppl. It’s toxic and I feel is the main reason why most don’t do the raids. Should have seen the messages I got yesterday for asking for ppl to help me do spire of stars for the first time and I have titles an shit. So yeah. Don’t think I’ll ever do that one. Which sucks hard. Trust me, if you were required to do the raid to reach max light, you’d feel a lot better about getting max light.
