Remove casuals, keep enhancement cores.

Bungie, don't cater to the whining players who want quick and easy infusion and progression instead of a challenging grind. The last time you catered to the casual crowd D2 vanilla happened. It didn't go over well.

I can get 21 a week by visiting tangled shore each day and buying 3 a day. I can get another 75-100 a week doing tangled shore bounties. People complaining are just lazy.

  •
The last time you catered to the casual crowd D2 vanilla happened. It didn't go over well.
The funny part is that they actually made vanilla D2 for the "hardcore" players. They thought the double primary/slow ttk/4v4 would make it more competitive.

Casuals on the forums make 90 % of the forum sheep , not 90% of the ingame population .

    • You are not very bright. " casuals" make up over 90% of Destiny 2 players base. How long do you think Bungie would last with just 10% of player base? Some of us have jobs, spouses, and kids.

Lol. Let all the hardcores grind the -blam!- out of this trash system. The balance isn’t there yet for the Casual vs hardcore no lifers. No life cats will always benefit from this trash game with mats and rng. The odds are in their favor as they play 18 hours a day for weeks on end. Bungie -blam!-ed this game up and fanboys will always defend it. The games ok but still trash. Next.

      • Hmmm... D1 didn't require enhancement cores for infusion... Was D1 a game catered to casuals because of it?

      • Exactly. They complain just to bitch some more when Bungie appeases them.

      • Destiny "Hardcore" is very far from real hardcore. Real hardcore are completionist and people like Esoterikk that love challenges. They don't give a crap about what other people have and enjoy the content. RNG is supposed to compliment the game, not be the game. Like Borderlands, Diablo, and upcoming Anthem, enjoy the good gear while playing for a better version of it. Content droughts are fine because gamers like games, not just one game. Destiny "Hardcore" is the more like an addict. One lucky drop makes them feel like they're better than everyone else. They call for lower drop rates so nobody else can get their precious gear. Once enough people get the same gear, they call for nerfs because they no longer have an advantage. Destiny "hardcore" wants to make the game as inaccessible as possible. RNG is their content instead of design and story. Other games don't exist. TL/DR - Remove the fake hardcore and cater to gamers. RNG is not content. Fun makes people purchase games and DLC and you guys are doing a great job removing the fun.

        • Lol, go ahead and remove 80% of the player base and see how quickly the game dies. There will be noone to beat up on in Crucible. The waiting times on strikes and Crucible will take forever and Bungie goes out of business. Better yet just wait until Anthem and Division 2 come out. Those games are specifically aimed at Destiny player base. Then hardcore will see how much the casual players matter.

            • This, this is the biggest heap of shit. The last time they catered to the casual crowd people actually got added to the black armory content. The reason people want infusion to not have codes in them is because it costs 1/10th of your max possible glimmer, and 15 shards, which can be little to even some casuals but not to all. Hell I recently grinder away over 800 but that’s not the point. People want them gone mainly for the high price of masterworkinf, which I don’t want changed, but I want to actually be able to use this feature instead of never having more than 3 cores

              • You’re very much in the minority here with your love of enhancement cores for infusion. Most hardcore players don’t even think they should be part of infusion costs, myself included. This has been a resoundingly disliked economy change. It adds no value, no meaningful sense of accomplishment, and no compelling reason to persist in playing. They don’t even contribute to a “challenging grind”. It’s a monotonous slog through the same old bounties we’ve had since D1 for the most part. They’re overly punitive to new players and a game like Destiny NEEDS to be able to attract and retain new players. The over-casualisation of D2 vanilla hurt the game, but pushing to the other extreme will have the exact same effect. A positive balance needs to be struck.

                • Without casuals... Hmmmmm... Let's see what that looks like shall we! Sales tank. The few "hardcores" still playing complain non-stop (well at least that doesn't change) because they have to sweat 24/7 because there's no one else other that hardcore sweats to play against. Bungie dials back staff due to the lack of revenue. The already tiny playerbase continues to decline. The game dies. The end.

                  • Oh you keyboard warriors and your abnormal grind fetish always make me laugh. Why not grind the number of pixels on your screen one by one. Seriously start counting now, if any developer listens to you... you'll already have a head start.

                  • Enhancement cores are casual. It feels more like casual mobile trash forcing you to do meaningless repetitive tasks for a very limited chance at getting something. Because they are really meant to timegate you so you can't progressing through the extremely limited game too fast. It's just another weekly lock out timer not some dedicated players grind for rare mats.

                    • If you think that adding more rng for the sake of artificially extending playtime is a "challenging grind" then I can already tell you've never played a good looter/mmo. Playing the same exact content 100x instead of 10x isnt more challenging, it's laziness on the devs part. Make better content, not longer grinds.

So a [casual] has at base approximately around 200 hours playing and that's no guud 🤔 His $$ isn't that important or his presence in the game.🤔 @ 7.25 an hour that guy[or gal or gender whatever] spent $1450.00 playing destiny instead of gaining income. [Before taxes of course😋] Plus the possibility of purchasing loot crates or silver or just doing what ever they want to... [cuz it's a video game they purchased] And that is no guud? Some of these "hardcores" have excellent ideas and opinions, some dont. They must be filthy rich and expect Bungie or whoever to focus solely on them? That's dumb. Bungie can't sell destiny @$2000 a pop so hardcores can have a closet to wack in... It's all about revenue in the end. Bungie has to find that formula to please both. Hardcore and casual or there won't be a D3, 4 or 1000. Who is gonna pay for it? Just the hardcores? Again you guys MUST be loaded. "Lemme hold a dollar then boss..."
