Seriously... a 3-week quest that takes 30 minutes total. We need more quests like The Whisper, not lame ones.
yes the Whisper was 20 minutes, but it didn’t take 3 weeks to finish. And unless you went in blind and had to figure it out, then it took longer than 20 minutes.... and it wasn’t lame... Learn to read u morons
No thanks

An insanely hard 20 minute timed mission where you waited forever for a public event. Hmm No I rather have more interesting story based missions that lead to rewards than a over the top maze of timed anal -blam!- First people cry about puzzles and now they want them back because of a sniper. Community is a joke.

I actually enjoyed revisiting the Cosmodrome. I’d like to see them utilize the moon again.

Edited by The Sword Logic: 11/17/2018 6:00:09 PMI liked it. Who doesn't like nostalgia? Communists. That's who.
-
People will literally cry about everything smh
-
The final quest of FotL. It was a gimme quest. It was a second (potentially) high PL weapon for people plus an easily obtained Exotic. Simply put....a gift.
-
The key here is that Thunderlord is tied to Festival of the Lost. Had the quest been separate, they could have done more to make it dlc exclusive, however, they had to tie it to base game ability. So. Yes it was quick and easy for us. That is unfortunate and yes timegated quests are annoying. But at least they stayed true to what they said and brought back an exotic that is actually pretty good. Plus it was sort of a surprise because machine guns aren't coming til Black Armory so it is an early access and also incentivizes players without the dlcs to use the weapon and maybe get the expansions. Whisper was a dlc exclusive based weapon so unless you had people to carry you, a 300 power guardian couldn't beat it with just the base game. That's a different story. You have to understand the limitations and intentions before trying to crucify Bungie on this one.

Weirdly, if you count the catalyst as apart of the quest then yeah it takes three weeks. Not saying this quest was great, it was nostalgic and cute, nothing to complain about. But your post is very dumb.
-
Dismantle it and move along then
-
How much did we pay for it? Just asking....
-
Cool story
-
Whisper was a lot faster than 30 minutes. The catalyst took three weeks to get. Whisper was more fun to do though.
-
“30 minutes quest” “We need more like whisper” Whisper LITERALLY has a 20 minute timer. You’re an idiot...
-
Calls people morons and idiots for disagreeing with your OPINION. Meh, just another common as dirt troll, back under the bridge with you little fella.
-
No. It was going for nostalgia, and it did it’s job quite well.
-
Then remove the gun
-
At least we got a cool weapon out of it
-
I felt it wasn’t really a quest at all, I mean what were we questing! What information did we pick up? What did we learn? What did we discover? What physical evidence did we see with our own eyes? Answer: Nothing...we did three phases of kill everything or race to the white dot. Time filler to keep players partially engaged till Black Armoury! Guess TL was token of good faith? Anyways, I get this is a shooter primarily but all this repetition and nostalgia I swear is giving me early Dementia 🤷🏻♂️
-
Thunderlord was handed out purely to have an incentive to buy the exotic ornament from Tess. Bungivision sneaks in another microtransaction scheme.
-
Exotic quests requiring fireteams suck! Stop screwing over solo players every chance you get! Matchmaking for Nightfall!...........rant over......
-
Edited by Zero: 11/14/2018 12:14:12 PMThe way I see it is that it’s just a basic prelude to black armory and since destinys bungie has never been good at compelling story telling I didn’t get my hopes too high.
-
The Whisper mission for some is nigh on impossible due to the jumping challenge and then the boss fight. We need balance between hard and straightforward, not everything should be rage inducing and require 10 hours of practice to get right. That said this quest line was a bit too basic, liked going back to Cosmodrome but the preceding stuff was a waste of time and the under capitalised on the Cosmodrome.
-
It was really short if you did it all at once. I like the part where i go to whispered falls, beat it, go back to amanda... to be sent back to whispered falls. Brilliant.
-
The last step was great.
-
As far as I'm concerned , it's not a quest , but we will be live testing machine guns for them for what 2 weeks before they drop......
-
It was pretty wack. Fun to revisit the cosmodrome, but god damn, everything before it took no effort to complete.
