I know I may have an unpopular opinion with this, but I really think the Prestige Raid was implemented the way it was to stop the elitism that was going on in D1 with raids. Nobody, and I mean nobody liked people listing and lfg saying "must be self-res Sungsinger," or "must be 400+ light." It got to a point where if you had no friends or nobody to play with for the first few weeks before Hard Mode was out, you were pretty much screwed, as all the good players were all playing the hard mode raid with their capped or near-capped light, while you were stuck with a bunch of people who really had no clue what they were doing or with people who did but weren't any good at it.
