I was bored while I was driving so I thought this up:
Way of the Assassin
Perk 1: Pressure Point- melee attack with intense precision that causes bleed damage(basically causing the same damage that poison smoke grenade did in D1 when it attached to enemies)
Perk 2: Con Artist- gambler's dodge now regenerates grenade instead of melee; marksman dodge now grants increased precision damage and keen scout instead of instant reload(lasts 5 seconds)
Perk 3: Smoke Screen(or Escape Artist)- grenade kills now grant invisibility for 3 seconds per kill(stacks 3 times)
Perk 4: Assassin's Reach- You can now throw your staff like a spear with no damage falloff and instantly teleport to where it lands(takes 10 percent of super and attaches to L2)
I imagine the melee punch replaced with a jab of sorts where you stick out your fingers instead of making a fist. Also the spear would stop on whatever it makes first contact with(whether its a wall or enemy).

Bleed damage isn't very monk like. Doesn't really fit thematically. Con artist is functionally interesting. At least for the first part. The second I can't agree with. It would mess with pvp balance too much. (damage part anyway) Invisibility is nightstalkers thing. And is more fitting of an assassin. Not a monk. Assassins reach I don't think is possible. Yes you throw a shield with sentinel. And swords with daybreak. But those are projectiles. the actual weapon doesn't ever leave your hand. At best I can see for "doable" is just being able to throw it like a spear. But it takes up your melee or nade energy. Even then though.

I could see this being a tree for the Bladedancer but not for the Arcstrider.
