Smart, dumb, wise, foolish, young, old, man, or woman. Every now and then we all have to learn something through failure. And often times, those lessons, some of our most painful experiences, are what we hold dearest. What defines us. So, what lesson did you have to fall down in order to learn?
Personally, it'd be that everything ends. It's a common one, sure, but it's a painful one that everyone who lives long enough will know by heart.
Family, friends, relationships, hell, even material things like cars, or childhood homes! Everything ends. And then the lesson that comes hand in hand with the above one, that time always moves on. I still remember what it was like when I broke up with the first girl I really loved. I didn't want to...be. Everything seemed dark, I felt numb for a good while. But it was sunny outside, the polar opposite of how I felt because, as I read somewhere once, "The universe cares not for the grief of man." Silly, definitely a little edgy, but true.
Everything ends, and when it does? Time will march on, without missing a beat, because after all, we're just finite fish swimming in the infinite river of time.
So, enough on me, what's your lesson and/or bad meme? Puns are accepted though, I love puns
