I'm bored

Bungie, what happened? There was so much promise. So much hype and excitement. A lot of people, understandably, expected D2 to be everything D1 was (post RoI) only with a greatly improved multiplayer. No PM's? No Heroic mode strikes/main missions? Two Crucible playlists, both of which are 4v4 and no variety in terms of game modes? Extremely restrictive class trees? No collectibles, bounties, weapon rolls, etc? Not to mention the horrible shader system. I don't know what you were thinking, if I'm being honest. You had a perfectly good game with D1. All you had to do was make PvP a little bit more balanced (tbh, I find D1 PvP to be way better than D2's atm). Admittedly, strikes and raids were fantastic in D1. There was an actual point to them. The token system...where do I begin? I don't mind them in the grand scheme of things as they are more or less similar to reputation from D1 but you took it too far with the raid. A pointless change, as were a lot of things in D2. Honestly, we're bored because there is no end-game. There are three items I want; two exotic armor pieces and a legendary armor piece. That's it. That's my end-game content as far as I'm concerned. Three armor pieces that I only really want because of cosmetic reasons. Once I get those (or not. You seemed to have completely messed up RNG in D2), I have no reason to play. I'll stick around, but I don't see why I should bother. Please Bungie, fix your game. It's in a terrible state at the moment. And I'm not even exaggerating.

 • Watch this Old Demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIp7vZuYzoA When Destiny was first being shown off we were promised a Large Shared World Shooter RPG. That was "Ancient Fantasy" + "Hard Science Fiction". That is what it was initially advertised as and what Year 3 D1 was shaping up to be. The problem is that Destiny 2 has taken the franchise into becoming a game that I simply did not want. We got a standard FPS Skill based shooter with PvP set as end-game. It is trying to use the Halo formula to satisfy the competitive shooters. That design choice does not work with Loot based games. You're fighting against human players in the Crucible and you're fighting an army of drones in PvE. What makes PvE fun is being a powerful badass what makes the Crucible fun is the competition and proving your better against a real person with access to the same weapons abilities. They're not the same and should not be balanced as such. It is trying to be a jack of all trades but consequently making it a master of none. Making it a competitive PvP is the opposite of what Destiny was supposed to be and shaping up to be by Year 3. This feels like a slap in the face to the people who stuck around and supported Destiny. Bungie should stop trying to make it Halo when that is a completely different formula. PvP does not work as a core aspect in Destiny. They took what could have been an amazing RPG and made it a simple shooter. Big middle finger to the fans who made the first game successful. ALSO. Destiny is made by AAA developers, supported by AAA publishers, and is sold as a $60 game. They already have the money and support they need to make a complete product. The fact that it is not a complete game at launch, and is in reality an incomplete foundation that relies on content updates as well as paid DLCs to add things that should have been in the game in the first place, is unacceptable. The Dev team should be given more time to work on a quality product worth the $60 price tag before release.

 • The most fun activity for me now is the Fallen Walker Public Events on Titan, especially if there is a group of people. I don't care if the group does it heroic or not as the rewards from it no longer matter to me. If there is 1 tank, I'll hang out near where the loot box spawns right before it's dead...if it's 2 I'll wait til the second is almost dead before hanging out. When it pops up...it's Wardcliff Coil time!!!! It's so rewarding watching the loot box go careening off into the oblivion. Especially when it falls into the sea. I give it a salute and then go on my merry way. Now that Titan has the flashpoint and the Knight with obnoxious health spawns in on the one. I'll wait and see if anyone who participates in the public event is still over there looking through their menus or what not. I'll lead that Knight to the AFK/Menu looker for the lulz. It is sad that this is the most enjoyment I now get out of Destiny 2.
