Is Destiny a Tuesday (reset) and maybe Wednesday Game now?
For five days I've played and not handed in any tokens. My plan (probably badly flawed) is to wait until Tuesday reset, do the Milestones that I'm capable of, and use a few tokens to get some gear, and save the rest.
Can't do anything about engrams, as the level is allocated on the point of getting them.
For five days, I played and whatever I got (other than one exotic) everything dropped at 283.
After Tuesday reset, I picked up gear from Cayde for the Flashpoint, and two from Hawthorne. Three in total, (which was more than three bits of gear.) One for my Clan 5000, One for Flashpoint, and one for my Clan doing some Crucible for me. Thanks!)
All this took, I dunno, five hours? Since then drops are 286.
So, in five hours I improved drops by 3 level points, and in 30 hours during the week, I improved drops by 0. Zip! Nada! FA!
The other Milestones (except the Raid) might take a day or so, and back to hoarding Tokens.
So, why play after Tuesday or Wednesday?
The old Vendor grind with FWC, NewMon and DeadO, are no longer with us. They've been relegated to I dunno the hell what!
During the week I'm at the point of getting fun at the number of Tokens I can hoard! I'm like Scrooge McDuck at this! If they were real, I could dive in and swim around in them!
Clan awards:
I love clan awards! I get stuff I didn't earn! Which makes me think. Say there is a Clan of 100 or so. five blokes do the Raid, and 95 other share in a reward! It's a great system, if you have, like me, no morals.
