A constructive Idea post worth reading.

First of all the important thing to know about this post is that NO WHERE does it contain a single N**F Suggestion so take a deep breathe and relax a little. With all the time I've been putting into the game I am certainly invested and don't want this to die as nearly as much as many of my fellow forum users appear to. So I've been considering tons of ways to improve small parts where the game falls a bit short. So ever since the Beta there was a Meta. That Meta included The Nightshade, The Nergal, The Better Devils, and The Map... I mean Main Ingredient. It was no surprise that upon the offical console release these stars no longer shined as bright. And for PvP sake it did make some sense. However, these pre-release n**fs have appeared to hurt each of these weapon types save for Fusion Rifles in PvP and as far as any power weapon in PvP goes I don't think it matters. OHK power weapons are in a great spot in the Crucible so far(*IMO*), okay except grenade launchers, they are pretty trashy. I rarely care nor promote any change to the crucible but these Ideas are for the Devs to consider. My primary interest is seeing PvE buffs to some of my favorite weapons that feel lackluster right now. These PvP ideas are just small things that might help create some variety amongst loadouts. Cause we all know what happens when everyone has the same thing in their loadout whether its a problem or not *-cough-TRUTH-cough-* The current importance of High Caliber Rounds... My suggestion here is that current guns with HCR be left alone (what?) yep. HOWEVER, High Impact archtypes of weapons with a slow as heck fire rate that currently do not appear to shine at all be given the same if not a tad more Intristic flinch value based on their High Impact nature. Only for the sake of more variety and it does seem the only possible answer to make these slow fire rates weapons competative. Worst case scenerio HCR being effective when getting headshots and High Impact Archtypes be effective regardless. Everything from this point on is PvE focused only so Crucible exclusive players need not worry about any of this. Okay so to the fun stuff. PvE. Buffs! Yay! okay so there is no doubt any question that sniper rifles need a buff and probably not even just their crit damage either. Right now they're kind of a bad joke. Pulse Rifles are also Exceptionally lackluster. A small boost to bodyshot damage and a slightly larger buff to headshot damage would be just what the doctor ordered. As for the Bowling... I mean Lincoln Green and Time Worn Spire Pulse Rifles I would go as far as to request a larger ammo reserves for this archtype as burning through it takes little time at all. Hand Cannons! These have some good feel in my opinion so far but their damage is still pretty paltry to what one would expect. I feel they could also use a small boost to body and headshot damage. Perhaps even a bit of a boon to headshots on higher armor targets the light orange and yellow health bars. Friggin Scout Rifles man. I mean these things in Destiny never really need to be touched they where so well balanced. This time around in Destiny 2 they feel like they could atleast do with a minor stability buff(Except the Exotics, Skyburners and MIDA have no problem there) and a bit more crit hit value. ESPECIALLY the High Impact Slow Fire Rate Scouts. They all look cool but feel terrible this time around. I've never missed my Badger CCL more... insert Exotic Honey Badger Scout Rifle request here. Sidearms: NM I don't want to say Thujong thing about these.(total Wormwood wordplay joke there.) but maybe seeing one with the old Close Quarters perk on it would would catch my fancy... It doesn't really matter I doubt I'll ever take a Sidearm seriously in PvE. All buffs aside, I have had some ideas about rewards and tokens. More importantly when pertaining to very specific events. Namely THE RAID. Tokens in the raid was the most crushing experience so far in D2 for me. All the excitement was lost the moment I got tokens out of a chest. The only minor relief came with the 4 shades that came with it... which were pretty cool looking on weapons. O f all the place in the game where I would actually insist on removing a mechanic I do beg of you to reconsider the use of only tokens in the raid for rewards. Now if you wanted to use token as a way to obtain either only the weapons. or only the armor. Then I can see this being a bit more rewarding. Where either a chest drops armor tokens OR a weapon either with a pair of shaders or something that would feel like less of an open wound. IRON BANANA Ft. Lord Salad4Dinner: This is going to strongly tie into my duplicate weapons suggestion so read further on about that. I know I had also posted this in a comment to Cozmo's Reply to the Iron Banner drops I'm gong to give a couple ideas here. so try to keep an open mind... Seeing as how Iron Banner has a 1 set of armor for every class and 1 weapon in every class which does not add up to much drop rate variety I can agree with many other forum posters that it still is no place to get armor and weapons that are not IB related. My biggest suggestion is that when someone does get a duplicate that if there is no hidden factor that can lower the chance of a triplicate then perhaps IB items should be able to be broken down into IB tokens for some return value on the RNG roll, also limiting each IB package to only drop 1 legendary IB item would seem an equal fair notion. The next idea would likely be a player favorite but a Bungie opposing idea that Faction Engrams be split into an armor engram and a weapon engram. Obviously not a great notion but an Idea none-the-less. My Other IB suggestion would be a tall order but would revolve around adding 1 gun that is in honor of each Iron Lord to the roll pool as a way to bypass the non-IB items in the IB loot pool. More varience, less duplicates. Now My favorite Idea to solve to continuing duplicates. Stat infusing buffing. Saving multiple copies of a weapon to infuse 5 or even 10! copies into one gun to give that single gun a small +3 or +5 even stat boost. DOES NOT WORK WITH EXOTICS. Don't bother, the very concept of doing so with exotics would be so broken. But think about it. If I have 10 Old Fashioned Hand Cannons that I save up I could infuse them into 1 gun that would then have a permenant +5 to its reload speed or stability or handling. It SOUNDS trivial but It would give me the motivation to do it anyways. +5 isn't much with stats but It would totally give value to all those duplicates we all keep getting... Now think about better stats on your favorite guns... And suddenly STRIKES are worth grinding! Origin Story, Nameless Midnight, Nightshade, ALL THE GOOD STUFF CAN GET A LITTLE BETTER! Grind Crucible? EVEN BETTER DEVILS! Faction Rally? Keep Grinding tokens with a Purpose! Every time you find a gun you like but its lacking that one thing it could use just a little more of? Stability/Range/Handling/Reload? When could you do this? With the Return of ARMSDAY :D ! Save up some legendary shards and gunsmith parts to have Banshee maybe do 1 or up to 3 a week. If you have the Mats and crazy amount of duplicates. And yes. I'm already saving my favorite duplicates in case Bungie manages to figure out something worthwhile to do with them. Maybe even let you do this 3 times with 1 gun (15-30 duplicates needed in total?) But with diminishing returns. Meaning +5 to the first stat.+3 to the second stat and +2 to the 3rd and final stat you choose to buff. Shaders. Its October people. Eva Levante may be making a triumphant return with Festival of the Cost! I mean Lost... whatever. All those Shaders weighing you down? Eva could be our salvation. Shader trade in could be a thing at half price 50 trash shaders could be turned into 25 more appealing cheap shaders OR even gain you access to her SPECIAL SELECTION of Eva Exclusives Shaders! I personally would love to see her show up and offer Weapon skin PATTERNS cause who doesn't want Tiger Stripes on their guns?! Or even halloween themed weapon skin patterns like putting mean looking eyes on your guns? Ever want tiger stripes on your armor. Shut up, of course you do! With Eva comes new EXOTIC shaders too! You think those nifty faction shaders like Vanguard Gloss, Omolon Metor Gloss, Veist Poison Shimmer, Suros Modular Shine, and Hakke History Polish are cool? Wait till you see what Eva can bedazzle! But Seriously leave a comment if you want A-lot-é from Levanté. Lets Make The Hype Real. The guys at Bungie have to be bummed by now after reading all the stuff on the forums. I'd like to cheer them up a little. Sorry for the crazy long post but these are a few of the Ideas I came up with and wanted to share with the community and the Devs. If everyone feels something is broken I'd rather fix it.

 • They are good ideas, it's just not going to happen. Doing buffs to weapons perks would go against a balanced pvp. No one here wants to see destiny die, 95% of its people who played D1, put so much time, effort and money to help bungie build the game we thought we were going to get at the release of D1. We thought bungie was going to build and improve everything good in D1 but they didn't.

 • sorry dude but all those changes are pointless cause this game has many bigger issues to deal with.. the biggest of all is Bungie's understanding of what Destiny 2 should be.. they missed so badly it's not even funny, and being it was intentional, it's down right insulting.. further, the sandbox team has been so bad since the nerfed the F at our bladedancer and special ammo, bringing side arms up, it's not even funny...
