I love the variety in the crucible right now!

Sometimes the Uriel's gift is solar, sometimes it's arc, and sometimes it's void. Look at the variety! :)
This is a joke, not a post whining about the meta or calling for nerfs. I don't have a problem with this meta. Uriel's could have some range shaved off to put it back into line with other autos though as it's range is a bit much.
• Of all the Exotic weapons in Destiny 1 to bring forward, one of the two had to be the Mida Lol

        • I know you're joking but the meta is a lot more varied than people like to admit, just the first week or two of trials and everyone having easy access to a MIDA gave it a bad rep. Here's a list of weapons that kill me extremely regularly in Crucible right now: MIDA Multi-Tool Vigilance Wing Scathelock Antiope-D Adjudicator Uriel's Gift The Number Prosecutor Last Hope Last Dance Time Worn Spire (since this week) Nameless Midnight Origin Story Mannannan SR4 Jiangshi That's 15 guns that are just off the top of my head, I know a lot of these are similar archetypes but I never saw a list that large in Destiny 1, plus I haven't included any power weapons, or hand cannons even though I've seen a fair few people use them, I don't feel they're good enough to justify saying I get killed a lot by them...

          • While I agree there is a high percentage of Mida & Uriels being used, I have noticed during Iron Banner that there are alot of Viable weapons being used. Instead of Uriels I see Last Dance/Last Hope quite often. Then some Valkadyns and Agenda5s and even a Graviton Lance here & there. Instead of Mida I see alot of the new IB Auto, Origin Story, nameless midnight, nightshade, vigilance wing...even saw a few handcannons. Heavies vary between only swords or rockets. All in all, it isnt as bad as people pretend. But Mida & Uriels are the most used, or most noticed because they are used together a lot.

                • The reason for the popularity of the 450 rpm Auto Rifles isn't that they are the most powerful, its that they are the easiest to use. I feel like they would be used more than any other gun simply because ease of use, even if they didn't have optimal time to kill. The popularity of The Last Hope reinforces this idea. When compared to SMGs, Sidearms take longer to kill an opponent, but they are so efficient in ADS and hipfire that they are the go to secondary for many. I know you referred to the 450rpm Auto Rifles, but all of the SMGs have better time to kill than The Last Hope. It really only takes minimal effort to figure out how to control the recoil pattern of SMGs. The Sidearms are definitely easier to control, but the SMGs are more powerful.

                  • The only "fix"( not that it needs one) to Uriels gift that I would support o is making it a kinetic weapon. That way it would stay just as powerful, but would be less popular because people have choose between it and mida. Of course everyone wild use last hope if that happened though....

                  • Palindrome Eyasluna TLW Hawkmoon Hawksaw Suros PDX 45 Bad Juju Clever Dragon Distant Star Burning Eye NL Shadow 701X Suros DIS 47 Mida Multi Tool Suros Regime Nechrochasm Atheon's Epilogue Zhalo Supercell Shadow Price Which of these primaries could you NOT take into the Crucible and do very well with, in the last months of Destiny? None. Each one of these primaries were viable. This is just a short list, but I chose some of the more popular ones, that I could think of off of the top of my head, and remember seeing a lot of. There were many others, though. I keep seeing posts, where people say, "All there was in D1 Crucible, was Palindrome and sidearms." Ummm... Did you all develop Alzheimer's, or what? Sure, those were used a lot. But a massive chunk of the community that used them, were the unimaginative, non-thinking 12 year old sheep, that saw their favorite YouTuber, or Steamer, using one or the other and thought, "OMG! Dat's what I haffa use, cuz '___Insert Steamer Name___' is da bess eva, and dat's what I saw him use!" Also... who the heck was running a Palindrome + Sidearm? O.ò I mean, really? Who opened themselves up to having absolutely no long-range option with that loadout? And yes, sidearms were a great option, after special ammo was nerfed. (I'm of the mind that they were great before the ammo nerf, but there again, the masses didn't see their favorite steamer using them, and they weren't a 1-hit-kill, so... They had to be crap, right?) Anyway... many fusions, shotguns, and snipers were still very viable in regular crucible. You just had to stay alive and keep your ammo, or have the patience to run to the ammo crate that re-spawned every minute. "You mean... don't go mindlessly rushing for the very first engagement that I can find? Are you crazy?!" Now, in Trials, where the special didn't spawn immediately, and you were stuck without special until it did spawn; when 9/10 times, the match was over by that time anyway. Sidearms and Ice Breaker were the best options. But that comes down to Bungie "moronism" (I just coined that phrase, and yes, you can use it.) I mean, they really thought that through, didn't they. <--- That was sarcasm. But other specials were still usable, as long as you were decent enough with your primary, to stay alive long enough to get special. Or, you could just win using your primary. Anyway, I'll step off of my soapbox, and go ahead and end my novel here with this... TL;DR: D1 Crucible was more than Palindrome and sidearms.

I get your satire, but I just laugh at people who are mad about stuff like this. In a game mode like IB, where you are more rewarded for winning (5 tokens as opposed to 2), how can anyone fault someone for using the best weapon they can to win? I get it is frustrating to be blown to pieces in a second by the last hope, but I get it. If you were going to war, would you rather have a musket or an M-16? A lot of top tier guns this time around for PvP. Handcannons: Better Devils and True Prophecy Scout Rifle: Mida, Namless Midnight, Frontier Justice, and Does Not Compute Auto Rifles: Origin Story, The Number, Uriel's Gift, Scathelock, and the Prosecutor Pusle Rifles are weaker in this game, but; The Time-Worn Spire, Lincoln Green, & Vigilance Wing Sidearm/Subs: Anteiope-D (spelling?) and The Last Hope. I am sure I missed a few, but there are a lot of good guns out there to use.

                      • You may not have a problem with the meta(and I don't really either) and that's probably because it is a perk instead of a single weapon. I am however a little tired of seeing people only using Uriel's Gift and Mida Multi Tool. I want to at least see people using different weapons with HCR

                      •
Are you done grinding planetary tokens for that armor you wanted? Are you done grinding the gunsmith for that rare gun you want? Are you done grinding the easy new raid for that armor you want because the raid guns suck? Are you done grinding the crucible for your Better Devils? Are you done grinding Trials of the Nine tokens because you can't go flawless due to sweaties? Well have I got the answer for you! Behold, IRON BANNER! (Now with 80% less iron) Grind endlessly for new Samurai themed armor and guns with an exclusive Iron Banner sticker, but with the added urgency of a limited event making you grind harder than ever before! Enjoy the absolute worse this game has to offer, with unbalanced teams, bad spawns, and meta players using the most broken weapons. Fight an endless war of attrition against camping Warlocks with infinite health, or get killed in literally under a second by the Last Word 2.0. Enjoy the endless droning of sirens as the clan you solo-qued up against captures the entire map. Lose to teams with FIVE TIMES YOUR SCORE who have been spawn killing you for the past five minutes. Get killed by a rocket launcher before you're finished the spawn-in animation, or get cross-mapped by fusion rifles. Try to capture a zone while getting hit from 8 pulse grenades, which aren't at all over powered when compared to the other grenades. Discover how useless anything that isn't the meta really is, as you're killed by the Antiope, Uriel's Gift, MIDA, and Last Hope consistently. Learn how powerful Fist of Havok is as the only roaming panic-button super. Ask yourself why Bungie left the Hunter "Wombo-Combo" in the game, only to never use the wombo-combo again, as your super, Shadow Shot, is literally just Nova Bomb, but completely useless. Wonder what the point of player choice is, as you discover the "One Path to Victory" Shaxx is always talking about is simply playing the meta, with any semblance of skill optional. But how is this better than the Iron Banners of old? The only difference between Iron Banner and regular Crucible? Gone. That pesky lore of the Iron Lords nobody cared about? Gone. The uniquely modeled weapons of previous Iron Banners? Gone. The ability to buy items as you progress? Gone. The chance to get Iron Banner items as an post-game reward? Gone. The ability to re-roll weapons? (bet some of you forgot about that) Gone. The rewarding experience of obtaining high level loot and powerful items? Gone. All those toxic downsides of Iron Banner are now more dead than the Iron Lords. Instead, grind away for meaningless tokens for the RNG slot machine that gives no guarantee your time will be rewarded. Win low level gear and weapons with an exclusive Iron Banner sticker, with a Iron Lord's chance in a SIVA replication chamber of getting the new Iron Banner exclusive Samurai armor, which doesn't match the theme of Iron Banner one bit. Listen to Overwatch easter eggs that remind you of better games you could be playing, and end your week feeling hollow for spending all your time grinding for the armor you wanted, only to get an endless supply of Iron Banner themed garbage sidearms. Let us take a moment to thank Bungie for this event. This event that showcases every single flaw of Destiny 2. This event that showcases the faults of the Crucible. This event that showcases how unrewarding the game is. This event that has managed to royally piss me off. Thank you Bungie. P.S. I'm never playing Iron Banner again...until some stupid new gear comes out and I force myself to endure more of this cancer and rip my hair out.
