Would the improved story content really be longer than Destiny 1 if you weren't artificially slowed by not having your sparrow and having to run everywhere? I mean I get you not having a sparrow when you don't have light but after you get your light back it doesn't make any sense. I mean it's not like Holliday isn't around or there isn't Sparrows at the Farm. It just seems like they knew they were artificially padding the game and they knew the reviewers would count the number of hours the story took so they just made you walk the entire time.
Sorry if this has already been brought up. I was waiting for all the reviews to come out before I bought the game but even after they came out most of the reviewers put a bunch of spoilers in the reviews and told you to buy the game before you watched the review so I was in a tough spot before I could play the game and find this out on my own.

The cabal bombing the city was a great start. But every cut scene after that is a monologue of Gaul talking to the speaker. The dialogue was filled with cliche lines. This was an awful story, beautifully shot. If you want to know what good storylines look like. Try playing The Last of Us, Uncharted or Farcry 3.
