Terrible Raid Glitch - Missing Keys

So, earlier tonight, my usual group got together to do the raid. We went through it in maybe an hour /hour and a half and then went to orbit originally to go to the Tower, but then decided we should go back and get our chests in the underbelly with our keys before going and turning everything in and swapping to our other characters to run the raid again. We had gotten Ventilator, Aqueduct, and I believe Armory keys. While checking our bags in orbit, I noticed I had my Loot-a-palooza key I had just looted after Calus, but no other keys were anywhere to be found. At this point, every one else checked too, and one other friend also didn't have any keys, while everybody else still did. We ran to the chest hoping it to just be a visual glitch and we would still get to open them, but sure enough we were robbed of our main raid loot sources and those extra Exotic chances. We had never heard of anything like this happening to anyone yet, and after some research online, it seems its happened to a fair amount of people. My question is, has anyone found a way around it, and has Bungie said anything about it besides the whole, "creating a new character deletes keys" bug? Because neither of us obviously created new characters. We started AND finished the raid in one quick run, went to orbit and flew immediately back in to get our chests and only 2 of us lost the keys. This has not happened to us yet, this was the first time. Any help/answers appreciated. Thanks! P.S. - Not sure if it matters, but I was playing on a 301 Gunslinger Hunter. Don't remember my buddies exact light but it was right around 299-303 I would say, on his Warlock.
