Equal starts, in map pick ups, and same nades.
Super energy should be given in full, but it has to be picked up like the travelers shard mission. You could still charge it with kills too. Supers can also be unique to each class, like it currently is.
Heavy weapons would be in map pick ups as well.
This model allows for more skill based gameplay, and makes Bungie's need to balance PvP almost 0.
The current PvP structure is to COD like, and it makes the game suffer. COD is dying for a reason.
This would also improve the better side of destiny, which is the RPG PvE elements. They wouldn't need to simplify classes for Crucible and could focus on making more strikes, adventures, raids and (most importantly) awesome, fun loot!
This would also make the Iron Banana a cool event that allowed you to use your PvE gear against other players. Right now it's just standard Crucible with special loot, unless Lord Saladhead raided Titan for his IB gear. (Sloan would get wrecked).
Just throw a new Crucible map in the mix once in a while and those PvP creatures would be happy.
TL:DR
Making Destiny an Arena shooter would allow Bungie to improve the fun aspects of this game while also balancing the Crucible and making the IB an actual, special event.
