Destiny 2 should have been a ttk-sized expansion

For this being a "whole new game" there's absolutely no innovation at all from destiny 1. Amazing things in that we had in destiny 1 (like actually good exotics, actually rare and special exotics, strike specific loot, special raid gear with special perks, ornaments, chroma, etc) were taken away from us for no reason at all. The exotics are awful. Lucky pants, wings of sacred dawn (which gives the sunsinger warlock a perk that it previously had) and fighting lion stand out as some of the worst exotics. We even got returning exotics like the mida, hardlight, an the zhalo supercell hidden as the riskrunner. So why not simply add the true new exotics like the Dubious Volley or The Mask of the quiet one to the avialable exotic list? Most of the new strikes have the same mechanic to shoot the boss, the boss flees or protects itself until you clear the ads, then you shoot the boss again, rinse and repeat. That's not innovation from plain bullet sponge bosses. The exodus crash is basically a fallen Alak-hul. The only good strike is the inverted spire, which could have been added to the list of available strikes in D1. The only true new planet is titan (which, oddly enough, is the smallest planet). The edz is just a cosmodrome without snow (which could have easily been added like they did with the plaguelands), Io is a green mars (exact same landscape, dead trees all over the place, some vex gates scattered around and the ocassional cabal base) and Nessus is a white Venus (white pools instead of orange, vex tech all over the place, square mountains, fallen vs vex) so why not use the already available planets to expand on their lore, and add titan like they did with the dreadnought. End game content is terrible, with nothing to keep you playing past tuesday until you complete the milestones, the awful raid, and trials of the nine on weekends. Farming chests is no longer possible since there's a lock on how many chests you can open in a certain amount of time, making it so that cayde's maps will mostly yield no items. The raid is terrible. Filled with tedious and often glitchy mechanics and no loot until calus make it a chore to go through, the loot is really plain with no raid specific perks or something that stands out, no checkpoints forcing you to go through a ridiculous maze; and the premise has amazing potential but is wasted (a raid taking place on a literal planet eating machine and you play on some pimp palace? seriously?) making the lack of other raid options really boring. No variety in gear at ALL with static rolls, and a very small amount of legendary weapons or armor sets, making hunting for good rolls gone. Simply adding the new weapons so that we could have more rolls would have been excelent. PvP has no mode choice for no reason when they could have simply added the search and destroy mode in the original crucible rotations. Trials of the nine = Trials of osiris. If they wanted to add something truly new, then why not simply make it so that the locked rooms in the lighthouse were now open? It would have added more lore to the place. Nightfalls that simply require you to rush through them to save time, avoiding as many enemies as you can to go through hoops or to break oracles makes them very boring and uninteresting. They could have simply added a timer modifier on the regular nightfalls. Also most modifiers are gone. They could have simply added smgs and grenade launchers to the already available weapon types like they did with sidearms and swords. The "new" subclasses are merely the sunsinger, the bladedancer and the defender with prettier supers, so why not simply update them in D1? Also the lack of different perks and different combinations in the subclasses make it really boring. The story essentially has the same size as the taken war but is artificially prolongued with the level caps; the missions have static difficulty settings making them super easy to do and there are merely a couple of missions that stand out (the intro mission, the almighty one and the last mission essentialy). Sure if this would have been an expansion people would reach max light level at around day 2, but it's really not a big difference from reaching max light level on day 3 like on D2. We could have a big amount of weapons to use which the destiny 2 expansion would have expanded. The new social spaces would have been a very welcome addition. And seeing how destiny 2 has taken and the ttk subclasses points it to have been in production since ttk, so why does it not have even the same amount of content as destiny 1 + ttk at least? Instead of expanding the destiny universe, the shrunk it
