I heard better stories in kindergarden then D1's story.
-
Destiny 2's plot basically is the plot of the TMHT movie from 1990: The Footclan finds and destroys the Turtles hideout and kidnap master Splinter, forcing the Turtles to flee to an abandoned farm. While Splinter is in captivity talking sense into one of Shredders students, they meet a likable outlaw who helps them getting back into the city, exacting revenge on the Footclan and freeing master Splinter. They also find a new home in the sewers. Only difference is the Speaker dies while Splinter doesn't.

Game logic wise there is only 1 ghost and 1 guardian lore wise there are multiple and yes it is dumb

Edited by TeWrecks: 9/29/2017 2:03:18 PMGhaul: "I am Ghaul and i became a legend." *Guardian kills his ass* *Gets rezzed somehow* Ghaul: "I am Ghaul and i became a god." *Traveler kills his ass* Nice villain lmao

Lol at everyone who complains about this person stealing opinions my god the community is full of dumbos. People can share opinions. If they didn't, we wouldn't have a government! Jesus, gamers get dumber by the year it seems. oh and the story was terrible and full of plot holes

Edited by Doctor Electric: 9/26/2017 6:25:04 AMI mean, it's a safe, yet effective story? What more do you want? I mean, I wanted a cool space drama story for Destiny, but that doesn't fit the tone. Destiny's story now feels like it fits the Marvel movie formula: Funny/witty dialog + Action scenes and Radical Heroics. Bungie made it apparent that philosophical undertones and "artistic interpretations" just don't fit with the story they want to tell anymore. My expectation was not that Bungie should prepare the Citizen Kane of video game stories for Destiny and its subpar, overly toxic forum community.
Many people of literature consider Citizen Cane to be one of the greatest, if not, THE greatest writer in recent history. I am one of those people. In case you didn't know what a Citizen or a Kane was.
It's mostly that compared to D1s story which was everywhere this one is actually coherent and focused, which is something we didn't get in D1 till the DLCs
-
I actually enjoyed the little story for Destiny 1. I hate when in big multiplayer games like this with bustling hubs where everyone talks to you like you're "the chosen one" along side the thousands of other chosen ones. Stop telling me I'm the only Gaurdian with light when I just saw a Gunslinger drive by doing a handstand on his sparrow while clenching his golden gun between his ass cheeks. I liked the idea that you were just somebody, it's not important who, just somebody that your ghost revived and your actions defined who you were. I didn't want to be told I'm legend, I wanted to become legend. This meant I was a shitty kinderguardian learning how to use my new powers bit by bit and getting better with every errand the vanguard sent me on. As time went by we did increasingly bigger and better things until we could take down gods. It felt like we earned it.
-
Thank you! I didn't understand this either, I thought the story was terrible!!! That first mission gets you excited and the rest of it is all down hill repetitive grueling b.s. with no sparrows. I hated having to play through it two more times to get to the tower. Seriously it was awful.

Look nobody will say D2 deserved an academy award for best story , but if has one flaw it's that it is poorly delivered / rushed . To answer why he took it , effectively the consult it is implied killed the speaker , basically robbing Ghaul of any further knowledge that might help him commune with the Traveler and become a servant of the light , he killed consul as he had robbed him of his last chance to earn the light and since we are invading the city he won't have another chance if he doesn't take the light

When you watch one video on IHE and suddenly you an expert story critic
-
The story is awful, boring and horribly written. The characters are too cliched have absolutely no depth.
-
I respectfully disagree. I thought the story was outstanding, second only to Halo Reach for a Bungie game. But my opinion doesn't make your opinion any less valid.
-
A lot of your questions especially about zavala, ikora, cayde-6 could have been answered had you taken the time to read the grimoire from Destiny 1. Don't blame bungie for your laziness.
-
You didn't play the first game did you? The story sucks but it's still better than d1. And all this characters you mentioned are from the first game.
-
1 anything is a better story than twilight, d1 was and d2 definitely is 2 it was actually really good and on par with any other mainstream title
-
Well at least we didn't get a shitty level 14 pulse rifle.
-
I see your point, it's times like these I reflect on how it's just a game and in the end it's all about the money. And the fun, it is still fun.. for now
-
Some make a short summary of what’s he said
-
Not saying the story is good or defending it, but if you're going to copy IHE's review, at least credit him.
-
Note to the OP. Shitting on things just for the sake of being a downer isn't cool. It's obnoxious as hell.
-
That right there had me asking too. Why did gaul need to take the light. How did he know the traveler existed. Well besides the cabal in mars . But even then why. 😑
